I guess this is where I came in. :)

Wearing my original stainless 7A38-7270 SAA0093J, which I've owned since 1988 - still complete with all it's accumulated wabi.

Dug out this Puma Y19301-70 that I hadn't worn in a while, this morning. Still currently fitted with a non-original Junghans bracelet.

I've recently freed up the black leather strap it came fitted with (ex-Bay Germany, back in May 2012), which I'd used on something else. Thought briefly about putting it back on the watch, but decided against it. :/

Speaking of Junghans - time for a bit of alternative 1980's Vorsprung Durch Technik - a Junghans 24/4610 High Tech Chrono.

Yema Spationaute III Aragatz N80P76 on ZRC 'double jonc' strap. Just 'cos I love wearing them.

It really is too nice a sunny day to be trying to take photos of a watch with a domed crystal - without getting all the usual reflections.

Here's a couple I rattled off this morning - of my newest Yema N8 Flygraf, which I acquired thanks to the help of forum member PHK.

Nope. Photographing watches with domed crystals on sunny days is not a good idea.  But here's another one - just for the heck of it. My JDM 7A38-6050 SJS058 s/n # 1 - again fairly recently acquired, thanks to the kind assistance of Japanese forum member Daisuke.

Wearing a 7A38-706A SAA017J this afternoon, the one with that lovely deep dark blue dial ....

That's almost impossible to capture the correct colour of, unless the light is perfect.

This is not a James Bond watch.  IMHO it's better than the SPR007J, 'cos it's got a day / date. 8) My 7A38-7060 SAA015J.

Love the way that pearlescent white 706L dial and Tachymeter ring changes colour in the sunlight.

Wearing one of my favourite lightly modded 7A38's today - OK call it a Franken if you like - 'cos that's what it is. :P

It's a 7A38-7070 fitted with the all black 709L dial from a black chrome 7A38-7080 and hands from a 7A28-7040.

Another one not quite how Seiko intended it. My two-tone 7A38-7260 SAA098J fitted with non-original Seiko p/n Z1623C bracelet.

Here's how Seiko intended it - ostensibly the same two-tone watch head, but designated 7A38-7240 SAA108J (rather than -7260) with that horrible flimsy p/n G1285C bracelet - surely one of the cheapest and nastiest bracelets ever fitted to any Seiko 7Axx. :/

Although their dials are an identical light silvery grey colour with no immediately obvious differences, according to Seiko's database, they're different part numbers: 718LXN18 (7A38-7240 SAA108J) versus 718LXN34 (7A38-7260 SAA098J). Edit: I've just spotted the difference, after all these years. The 718LXN18 dial in the 7A38-7240 has thin black lines painted on the batons. (See 11 o'clock).

It just has to be done, Don. :P Every now and then you gotta dig out that NOS Orient 7Axx and blow the dust off them.

Excuse the slighly odd angles - trying to avoid reflections in the domed crystal (again). My Racer J39723-70 (by Orient).

I'm not averse to gunmetal finish, though even I will admit that this colour combination with a champagne dial is a bit odd. :/

My Orient J39601-70.

A splash of colour this morning.

My Yema Spationaute III Aragatz, which I've nicknamed 'Old Yella' - for obvious reasons - on a Morellato Kajak gommatex strap.

I'm having a Spationaute Saturday.

Swapped 'Old Yella' for my favourite original 'bitza beater' with the Cadran Drapeaux dial - on that lovely Colditz Pazifik shark strap.

Wearing something a bit lightweight this afternoon - my all Titanium (including the case-back) JDM 7A38-7030 SJS018.

In its day, the most expensive Seiko 7Axx ever sold - with a retail price tag of 100,000 Yen. Thankfully mine came rather cheaper. :)
