This afternoon, I'm wearing the same 7A38-7070, now sympathetically restored and fitted with a Yobokies repro' bezel insert. Though it took rather more TLC than I'd originally anticipated.
.... and before some wag points it out - I deliberately wore the same shirt !

Paul nice clean insert -- But why do the 25 and 35 marks not align ? -- like on the OEM insert

Parallax error, Don. Check out some of the other photos on Page 3 of this thread - and you'll see the same effect with genuine Seiko bezel inserts.

I've been Orient-eering in another thread this morning. I had to get this stainless very dark blue dialed J39701-70 out, to check on the colour of the Tachymeter scale. So I rattled off a few shots. It's almost impossible to capture the true blue colour of this dial, because it's so dark. Unfortunately in the couple of shots where I actually succeeded weren't the best. So take your pick from these few.

Not only a 7A38 today, but a new one at that!!! I picked this up from ebay Germany, listed as 'defekt' and with the intention of breaking it for parts.
but it's in almost pristine condition, inside and out and fired up straight away with a new battery. Far too good to break.

Subtitled: To absent friends. A couple of weeks ago, PHK - Paul in Las Vegas emailed me this wrist shot. He's been unable to post / upload photos due a technical glitch with his iPad.
The same dressy little Yema N81W43, presumably factory fitted with non-standard 'pomme' style hands arrived mid-week.

Orient J39601-70 in gunmetal and gold plating with champagne dial. Weird colour combination, perhaps, but it works for me.

This afternoon, I'm wearing a 7A38-7030 SJS018 - once belonging (albeit briefly) to forum member Smokedogg (a.k.a. George). It's in better condition than my previous ex-José Sotto example (in most respects) - still in 'as received' condition at the moment.

I bought one of these recently with a damaged dial and rusted pusher switch. I only wanted it for the bracelet, and for movement parts. The movement is actually in perfect condition, bar some cosmetic surface damage to the dial side of the main plate and that rusted pusher switch. The dial has staining that won't come off.
So, I've robbed the hands and bracelet and fitted them to my head only 7A28-702A and have a complete and correct watch

Is that your space suit and helmet in the background, Don ? Here's a slightly rarer variation on the Yema Spationaute III Aragatz theme .... One of the early production versions with the 'Mission Flags' dial (cadran drapeaux) and dual serial / edition number stampings.
Funnily enough, one of these is also currently available on eBay (in France), but not in quite such good condition as mine - indeed, far from it - the would-be seller now asking 4x what I paid for this particular example ! PS - Please excuse the tiny raindrops - it is allegedly Summer in England after all.

I've been having major problems with (trying to upload photos to) PhotoBucket this morning. Wasted about an hour trying to get it to work. The pull-down menu (to access individual albums) doesn't work - nor the 'Upload' button. I suspect it's a problem with (their) Javascript / Flash. When I finally managed to get it to upload this photo of my recently acquired Puma Y19301-70, at about the 10th attempt, it was rotated 90 degrees out of alignment. That'll have to do for now.
Really don't know why I bothered - but thanks Andre !

A couple of Q&D wrist shots of my recently acquired Loris Azzaro H900. Call me a (French) Fashion Victim if you like.
Currently fitted with a really cheap and nasty black patent lizard grain strap - purely for expediency's sake (taking these wrist shots). I'll write up a full dissection and analysis of this rare C.G.H. produced N8 / 7A38 variation in the 'Fashion Watches' thread, presently.

A couple more shots - re-united (for the time being, at least) with its original blue shark strap - as Loris Azzaro intended.
