A franken today, something I put together last night when I was working on another 7A28.

This is the the dial and hands from a 7A28-7079 into a 7A28-7040.

I think it works quite nicely - the matte dial really blends visually with the matte casing and bracelet.

(and the case and bracelet it came from were in very poor condition)

Suppose I'd better get one in - rather late than never. :P Though this probably wasn't the best day to try photographing this watch ....

My original Yema Spationaute III 'bitza' with the mission flags dial ....

.... and the usual arbitary reflections off the domed crystal.

After I saw Simon's franken I've decided to wear my 7A28-7079. ;)

Your wrist shots are looking more and more like mine, every time you post one, Arpad !

Another subtle franken today.

this is my 7A28-710A but with a bezel from a 7A28-7030. The original was very faded and battered and I think the red and blue works really well with the yellow dial.

Here's the original:

and a better shot of the franken:

Can I take it as a compliment or a complaint? :D:)

A mutual compliment, naturally, Arpad. ;) As the saying goes: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. 8)

It was just the .... blue shirt cuff; brick wall background, watch angled at 45° across the frame, (nice clear) head on shot.

I'll know that you're really taking the mickey when you start setting the hands to 10 past 10, or 10 to 2 before taking them.

Anyway, here's something a little different (by my boring standards) - one of my trio of incoming NOS Racer J39's - the J39723-70:

Couldn't really be anything else this afternoon, but my first 'battered beater' example of the Orient J39908-70 ....

.... now finally re-united with it's original B.A.D. PCB and original Orient J3920 stamped backplate. See thread. Still working, too. ;)

Here we go......7A28-7049 with a nice original 7A28-7040 bracelet sourced from Finland.

Two problems, one, this watch is too Big! And two, these bracelets are most uncomfortable! How do you guys wear them?

(Bezel rotates though!)  Las Vegas Paul. 8)

A quick wrist shot of another of my newly acquired trio of NOS Racer J39's: the somewhat blingy, but still rather tasteful, J39024-50. 8)

And one of the somewhat 'colourful' RACER branded version of the Orient J39908-70. No sunshine to make the batons glint today.

You need to grow bigger wrists, or more hair.

These are my favourite model in both the 7A28 and 7A38 range.

Well I don't know about everybody else, but these two are what I've been wearing all week: a stainless 7A38-7280:

Alternating with my 'beater' 38mm reduced Yema Spationaute III, model # N80A696:

I thought I'd posted a wrist shot of this one before. :/ Seems not. Oh well, to make up for my oversight, here's two. :P

My most recently acquired Kamatz 518000 Oscar Bravo (now fitted with a 20mm oiled leather strap, instead of the original tan 21mm):

Posted elsewhere by Stuart (ginny), but I thought it might get a few more views if he'd posted it here, so I've copied and pasted. ;)

Well here it is the 7A38-7120 Titanium. Without the help from Forum member George, this purchase would not have been possible.

Not only a terrific example of a 7A38 has been gained, but a friend also. Thank you George....Stuart

Couple of Q&D wrist shots of my recently acquired NOS Yema N81W63 Breguet Classique clone. Another that isn't NOS anymore. :P
