Well, with today being Le Quattorze Juillet (Bastille Day - a national holiday in France) .... What else would I be wearing but a Yema Spationaute III 'Aragatz'.

My sincere apologies for inadvertently 'turning the page' on you, no sooner than you'd posted Paul.

This one has been a while in the coming, but I think well worth the effort (and cost):

It's been more than two weeks since anybody posted in this thread. Anyway, here's my newest incoming - a second JDM 7A38-7110, courtesy of Japanese forum member Daisuke which I collected from the local Royal Mail sorting office this morning. Exactly as received (save for re-setting time and day / date).

After my brief dalliance, this morning, with the horrible bits of black plastic that are supposed to retain the bezel, I'm pleasantly relieved to have this little 38mm 'reduced' Yema Spationaute III model # N80A66 back in one piece and back on my wrist again - working.

I must admit I do love Yema N8's for their sheer variety of styles - and that certain 'Vive La Difference' typically French quirkiness. They don't come much much quainter than the N8 YM53, which I finally got round to fitting with it's Cousins Bellini ostrich strap today.

I like that, well done, was that the case up on eBay about a week or two ago ? Is it the same as a Vulcan case but a different finish?

Close, Phil - but no cigar. The case (and bezel) are 7A38-7010 (the 'Vulcan' is the 7A38-701B). The 'Vulcan's bezel has gold lettering / numbers. The dial is a 713LX999 normally found in a black chrome 7A38-7140 (that NOS dial was on eBay a couple of weeks ago). Most of the hands (hour, minute and red chrono' hands) are Cartier Ferrari Formula, but not that yellow constant seconds hand. The bracelet ?

Very good Paul - I knew you'd spot the origins of this one. The yellow sub hand is from the 7A38-704C I picked up recently from the Sales section here, as is the movement. The bracelet was that Feiko that came on my 7A38-701B. I bought the hands quite some time ago (when Paul was talking about his 'Ferrari' he built up) - I thought they might come in useful if / when I picked up a Ferrari myself, but the three I've had have all had good hands. So time to use them. I'm quite pleased with the colour combinations. The red sub-dial hands and the red inlay on the main hands picks up the red in the bezel and contrasts with the yellow on the dial. The yellow seconds sub dial hand works well with the yellow of the dial. The white of the minute and hour hands makes them legible on the black of the dial. It might look nicer with a yellow minute ring, but I'll stick with this.

Loving my new and only 7a38. I think I need to find another one that I can wear on a rallystrap.
