Subtitled: Big Time Loser. For those of you fed up of me posting wrist shots of my various Yema Spationaute III's - tough !
As I've admitted in this thread in the Tinkering section, I've suspected (for a long time) it's suffering from a slipping cannon pinion.

Thanks for contributing, Achim ! Great shot as always. For comparison with this morning's '38mm reduced' shot, here's yet another: a full-sized (43mm diameter) Yema Spationaute III. I almost finished restoring this one on Saturday and then fitted the new Fleurus 22mm Navy shark strap yesterday. Still breaking it in.

Just trying on my newest incoming variant of Orient J39908-70, which arrived yesterday, thanks to assistance of Italian forum member Fabio (fmc000). As I wrote in the other thread (after seeing Fabio's Q&D photos), that its dial is predominantly black (with not even a hint of blue) came as no surprise. But just to prove the point, I dug out the darkest midnight blue shirt I could find in my wardrobe.

Today, it's my SEIKO 7A28-7040 from Jan. 1983.
Ebay seller stated that he was the original owner and the watch had been through a Seiko service center in 2004 for a service and new Seiko crystal.

See you're trying the 'jeans pocket' wrist shot technique, Don. Despite our efforts, Achim (forum member 'gufi') still remains the undisputed king of the JPWS (for the time being). I'm sure he won't mind me re-posting his photo. On Monday, he posted a conventional wrist shot (above) on our forum .... But the same day, over on SCWF, in their (almost daily) WRUW thread, he posted this other superb shot of his 7A38-701A:

The recent appearance and overnight sale of a Jean Lassale Thalassa 7A74 'project watch' on eBay in the States prompted me to get my 'Poor Man's 7A74-017 all stainless version out and give it a long overdue and well-deserved airing. I'd forgotten what a superb bit of engineering the bracelet was. It's heavy, but a joy to wear. However, I soon remembered what a pain this watch was, when it comes to taking photos of it. It may be 'basic' stainless and white, but the thin sapphire crystal gives off glare even on cloudy overcast days like today - making it difficult to capture the grey dial printing. After discarding a few, I still couldn't choose between these two shots.

My 7A28-702A taking full advantage of the abundant sunshine. Along with a suitably tanned arm.

I was hurtfully accused of 'One-upmanship' in the 'Show and Tell' thread earlier this week. By sharing photos, I'm simply trying to keep interest alive. but unfortunately the watch I was going to post won't quite fit my wrist and I've encountered a temporary minor hitch. Of more anon. However, I had got this 7A38-704C, which I bought off eBay Germany last December (a fuzzy photo gamble) out of my collection box. Never having posted a wrist shot of this one before (much to my surprise), so you'll have to make do with this for the time being:

Thanks for the positive comments, Guys. But just to show you that (I'm not ashamed to admit) I have been duped into buying utter crap in the (dim and distant) past .... Here's the infamous 7A38-702x SpeedTimerKollektion Franken - warts n' all. Yup, I've still got it, still going strong, 5 years later.
