I really like your 7Axx's too - superbly photographed, as always. But don't take it personally. We have a poke at everybody's high asking prices, or try to. There have been much worse than yours.

and just to REALLY make Daz's day .... You are right about that Paul... I'm off to sob onto my wrist... which is naked and bare and lacking in a 7A28-6000
I guess some things just aren't meant to be.

No offence I know where you're coming from... I'm just trying to reach the biggest audience and unfortunately the Bay is where its at... I inflate the prices because of the fees, I'm sure others do the same My obsession/collection is spiraling out of control and currently working on my own design based on a SEIKO calibre..... and that costs! I have many 7A## spares which will benefit all... so be nice!

Not a problem, from my side, either Phil. There is just one thing to bear in mind - and this forum has very few hard-and-fast rules .... But I would request that (as applies to any other member) you do not use this forum to promote your own eBay listings. Mind you, with your current asking prices, you're likely to get plenty of free plugs (if only for the wrong reasons) ! PS - We do have a (members only) sales section: http://www.seiko7a38.com/apps/forums/show/6600722-members-trading-area-

TBF he's only asking the sort of prices that our Italian "friends" ask... Doesn't make it any less frustrating for poor people like me though!

That's no big deal, Phil. I have it on good authority that 'a certain person who shall remain nameless' bought 10 of 'em last week.

Good grief indeed. A few of us had a poke at this 7A28-7000 listing, but demand for Ripley Aliens is out there, regardless of originality. To quote myself again .... That's 'Ripley Aliens' money ! It was later relisted: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221145538245 and sold in the early hours of this morning for $1149 (approx. £723).
I think I'll stick to collecting re-branded 7A38's with a real space connection

making my own may be the way forward!
If I make and sell enough at current prices I'll be able to retire early!

So what price shall I put one of my mint 7A28-7000's for? I have sold four so far, one of them fetched £1,400.... What do you think Paul?

Well I hadn't noticed any of your other 7Axx's selling (at current asking prices) yet, Phil. They're cluttering up my watching page. Some recent selling (rather than wishful pie-in-the sky asking) prices for (black chrome) 7A28-7000 Aliens in this thread:

Here's a very good reason why Phil's over-priced 7Axx's aren't selling - a partial copy and paste from my post on the previous page: His asking price on this very desirable Ti 7A28 is the same £799. I suspect some may consider it, but the price really is way too high.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221153244645 SEIKO 7A28-7089 Titanium Chronograph 'A real Minter' Very Very Rare
Very remiss of me not to have included Phil's photo of the case-back in my previous all-too-brief mention that I gave his eBay listing:
If you should ever wonder where watches like this, in such superb condition come from, you only need to skim through this thread: This exact same Titanium 7A28-7029 serial number 437877 is actually mentioned at the very bottom of the first page: Anybody here lucky enough to have bagged this NOS Titanium 7A28-7089 which was listed briefly on eBay UK yesterday afternoon ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271046556343 RARE NOS TITANIUM SEIKO CHRONO 7A28 MVMNT
Sold as a Buy-it-Now for £275.00 - which is a pretty fair price. The listing received 26 views before someone managed to strike a deal.
So now we know who bought it - and the blatantly obvious profiteering motive behind his snatch-and-grab purchase, don't we.

How about £275.50 for the Titanium 7A28-7089 then, Phil ?

Shall I dig a little deeper, and see what else I can find, Phil ?

A Seiko 7A38-706A goes for £311?? What am I missing? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200851171018 Are these scarce, cos it looks quite standard to me...?

Not particularly scarce, James. Although that one was in rather nice condition. Went for about double what I'd expected / predicted. Quite funny actually, particularly if you knew what Dave (Zenomega) paid for it.
