Andre. Whereas that price may seem 'borderline' crazy, compare it with some of the 7A28-6000 Bishops half-way down the previous page, their (less than perfect) condition, and the prices they achieved. I suspect this nearly mint example may well sell for that 550€ price.

Less than 24 hours later, both read: This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available. Incredibly, one of the 4 offers the seller had received on the B-I-N listing, on the first day - and declined, was for $1000 !! http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&_trksid=p4340.l2564&rt=nc&item=190725774757

Yes. I'm looking for one of these, but the 'in pieces' photo has put me off this one, that and the 'Careful polish' and aftermarket (read home made) pushers. I guess it will sell, but at nowhere near the price its listed at.

Maybe the badge cost $1.000 That I doubt, Andre. As you know, I've been teetering on the brink of outer space recently. Came close to ordering myself an Aragatz mission patch. You can pick up half-decent repro' space mission patches for as little as a Fiver ! http://www.stewart-aviation.co.uk/space1.html A little further googling turned this up: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/49678 If you’ve ever wondered whether your current wardrobe is geeky enough, you are sorely in need of a token of fandom such as this official U.S.C.S.S. Nostromo patch:
Yours, courtesy of eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USCSS-NOSTROMO-Crew-Embroidered-Patch-ALIEN-ALIENS-/200691956418 For a mere £3.75 !!

The other thing which tickled me, despite the seller's very lengthy listing title .... He not only missed out the important word 'Ripley', but he's got the Seiko sales code wrong ! SSAY068 is the sales code for the JDM version. Looking at the Chronograph script on the dial, and also the presence of SPORTS 100, this is clearly a normal SPR019J export model.

I really like the 7A28-7060 Titanium, but for $700 opening bid.....no thanks!

Shame for this lovely 7A28-7060 that its seller is a bit greedy

Arpad. As I pointed out to Andre, in response to his post at the top of this page: Whereas that price may seem 'borderline' crazy .... I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes a last-minute (or last 10 second) grab for it, at the opening bid price of $700. The 7A28-7060 / -7069 are a particularly sought-after model - and we've seen FAR crazier prices asked for them before:

If you've read through this thread, about the Cartier Ferrari Formula '7A38's in the Non-Seiko 7Axx Discussion area: Then you'll know that it's not unusual to see opportunistic eBay sellers asking around the 1000 Euro mark for the red-dialed versions. But 1000 Euros for a used black-dialed version on black leather ?? Erm, I don't think so. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170917590754 Montre Ferrari par Cartier, originale chronographe pour homme.
Original , la toute première montre chronographe Ferrari par Cartier à Fond renversé 1991. Métaux précieux et or , verre saphire . Très bon état de fonctionnement , pile neuve. Etanchéité parfaite. Prix en baisse par rapport à la côte de la montre car il y a un petit accroc sur le verre d'origine, Bracelet cuir. Funny boy (49) indeed. Edit: Original Opening Bid / Buy-it-Now prices now dropped from 1000 / 1100 Euros to 800 / 950 Euros. Try again, Funny Boy.

I'd originally posted this item in the 'Opportunistic Prices' thread, because yesterday, the price was only (ridiculously) optimistic. Overnight the seller has seen fit to increase his price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170920015123 SEIKO FLIGHTMASTER RAF Royal force Chronograph watch 7A38-7000 blk dial 80's
PLEASE READ BELOW CLEARLY before BIDDING or BUY IT NOW!!!
SEIKO FLIGHTMASTER RAF Royal force Chronograph watch 7A38-7000 blk dial 80's / Discontinuesd item / RARE / 80's Condition : USED DESCRIPTION : This is an one ( 1 ) pc Authentic SEIKO FLIGHTMASTER RAF Royal force Chronograph watch 7A38-7000 blk dial 80's DETAILS: --- RAF Royal force Chronograph --- discontinued 80's item --- Stainless Steel case with some scratched, due old age , pleae see attached photo --- Back Stainless Steel case with some scratched and rusted, due old age , pleae see attached photo --- Screw down crown changes date and day at 8 --- other function buttons at 2, 4 , 10 --- Steel bezel with some scratched, due old age , pleae see attached photo --- the case is 40 mm x 40 mm (incl. crown) --- Blk dial with luminous at each hour and no good due old ago, pleae see attached photo --- luminous hands no good and dirty , due old ago, pleae see attached photo --- date and day at 3 --- On the Dial, It signs " SEIKO QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH " ," JAPAN 7A38-700L T" --- On the BACK, It signs "SEIKO WATER RESISTANT ST. STEEL JAPAN A STAINLESS STEEL 7A38-7000 A5" --- Analog Quartz Caliber 7A38 Japan movement --- The Mineral glass with hairly scratched, due old age , pleae see attached photo --- NO box , No manuel , Watch Only The seller originally priced this at $699.33 (approx. £432.65) - for a head-only stainless 7A38-7000 with a sweat-corroded case-back. Overnight, he has seen fit to increase his Buy-it-Now price to $1199.33 (approx. £740.65) !! I believe the reason behind this is that the seller may be suffering under the delusion that this is a genuinely 'issued' RAF model. In an effort to substantiate his claim, at the bottom of his listing, the seller has included a photo from a Japanese reference book:
The book is WRONG !!! I have attempted to provide an explanation in the relevant topic in the 7A38-xxxx Model Specific area: http://www.seiko7a38.com/apps/forums/topics/show/7203858-7a38-7000-saa007j-stainless (scroll further down the page). What you are looking at is just a very tired example of the 'civilian' 7A38-7000 SAA007J, that is missing it's original bracelet. On a good day, properly (and honestly) described, such an example would probably fetch in the region of $50 - $100 max !!

The 7A28-7060 / -7069 are a particularly sought-after model - and we've seen FAR crazier prices asked for them before. Definitely wrong about that one, it seems. It was re-listed a few more times, with the price coming down by degrees, from $700 to $600 to $500 and finally to $450 .... For which price it sold earlier today: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320997763378 As the old saying goes: You can't win 'em all.

Actually I like the 7A28-7050, but the starting price makes me a bit nervous.
Anyone for an opening bid $880?

We've seen some crazy prices asked (and paid) for 7A28-7000 / -7009 Black 'Aliens', and commented on them in other threads .... But how about this ? Somebody paid $410 (approx £255.88) for an empty partial salesman's sample case a little over a month ago: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110951276048
I didn't see it at the time it was listed, but came across it scrolling through the seller's feedback, to see what else I'd missed. The buyer would appear, on the face of it, to be a Japanese stamp collector.

ok, so it looks like a reasonably tidy example, but still £410!!! Makes this scruffy one at nearly £300 seem a bargain! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seiko-Alien-Bishop-Giugiaro-7A28-6000-Chronograph-/300808723976 I really am going to have to give up on these if this is what they are "worth"

Well 'Superb' or 'Real Minters' these three 7A28's listed this earlier this evening (all by the same UK seller) may well be, but .... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221153227236 SEIKO RAF Issued Gen 1 Chronograph 7A28-7120 Superb Condition! SPR047
We've all see plenty of 7A28-7120 RAF Gen 1's going for £500, but isn't £799 pushing it - even for the most ardent military buff ? His asking price on this very desirable Ti 7A28 is the same £799. I suspect some may consider it, but the price really is way too high. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221153244645 SEIKO 7A28-7089 Titanium Chronograph 'A real Minter' Very Very Rare
and just to REALLY make Daz's day .... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321023008144 SEIKO ALIEN 'Bishop' 7A28-6000 Chronograph 'A real Minter' Very Very Rare!
Now this is REALLY taking the p!ss. Because we all know, in truth, that 7A28-6000 Bishops are anything but rare. Quite the opposite. £999 for a albeit lightly used (not NOS) example ??? That's 'Ripley Aliens' money !

Well that's it - he's blown it !! If this UK eBay seller EVER had the slightest ounce of credibility he just threw it all away ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221153299895 SEIKO 7A48-7000 Moonphase Chronograph 'A real Minter' Very Rare.
A not rare by any stretch of the imagination used 7A48-7000 (which I've seen sell for £250 as NOS), he's asking a mere £599 !! Indeed, used examples can be found for a lot less. Here's one that sold on eBay Germany just over a week ago for only 52.55 Euros: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140875994156

That's 'Ripley Aliens' money ! Speaking of Ripley Aliens and what appears to be 'the current going rate', a Watchuseek member just PM'd me these two eBay links: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110968147039 Seiko 7A28-7000 Giugiaro Aliens Silver Never Worn Never Polished No Reserve
Sold on 4th November 2012 for $1126 (approx. £708.57) after 12 bids. Strong money, but deservedly so, for a very nice example.
Whereas this other example, in well-used condition with missing pusher buttons, very definitely belongs in the 'Crazy Prices' category: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170940283522
Seiko 7A28-7000 CHRONOGRAPH Sports 100 Watch (ALIEN) SIGOURNEY WEAVER Giugiaro
It currently remains unsold, at the rather fanciful Buy-it-Now price of $1545.95 !!
