Speaking of deluded would-be eBay sellers trying to flog rather undesirable 7A36 Surf Timers for ridiculously inflated prices .... (as we were on the previous page), very remiss of me not to have mentioned these two other equally gaudy examples of the calibre:
Needless to say, this albeit rarer 7A36-700A - minus strap, with a cracked plastic shroud previously went unsold at $1999.33 !! Then of course, there's our old favourite Italian seller, Goffre78, source of the yellow dialed 7A36-7000 on the previous page .... who has been offering this NOS 7A36-7010 on eBay for a while, now reduced to the comparative 'giveaway' price of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190758986980

Another grossly over-priced 'Very Rare / Hard to Find' (quite the opposite) 7A48-7000 to keep the previous one company on eBay.
This was listed overnight on eBay in the States - by another deluded would-be seller, for an equally fanciful asking price of $799 !! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251207048138
If you're in any doubt as to the price range these commonest-of-all 7A48 variants normally sell for (usually <$200), check out this link:

I was (again) surprised nobody commented on the JDM (Speedmaster clasp) version of the same 7A28-6000 'Bishop' bracelet listed on eBay in the last week of December, but in far better condition, with an opening bid price of $199. More so that nobody bid for it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321047512370
Nor will I ever understand the logic employed by some of these eBay sellers. It doesn't get any bids @ $199, so he re-lists it for $249: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321049999311

Indeed, Andre. Already posted (twice now) in the Heads Up on yet another 7A38 Franken(s) - Part 2 !! thread. http://www.seiko7a38.com/apps/forums/topics/show/7172454 (on pages 1 and 2).

Ok I know not a 7A... but you have to laff, cry, sob violently (delete as applicable) when a watch used in Aliens gets a massive price hike... maybe ebay are charging huge amounts of money for putting the word "Aliens" into listings? how about this one instead **rolls eyes**

Hardly sets my pulse racing, Daz - unlike Sigourney Weaver in her smalls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swM6pLxxgWE

Goffre's now listed a NOS 7T59-F010 'Masterpiece': http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190781932278 for the risible asking price of $1600 !! That's nearly £1000 ! Speaking of 7T59's (which I really I shouldn't be, because it's http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160953098146 Belated Edit: Well, maybe not quite as quickly as I'd expected, but re-listed twice and subsequently reduced to 350 Euros, it did sell: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160959421123

Now follows a demonstration of the futility, greed (and sheer stupidity) of some of these 'crazy' speculative B-I-N asking prices - and particularly by this Italian husband and wife team of eBay sellers. In July last year they declined a more than generous offer of $800.
Half a dozen (30 day) re-listings and more than 6 months later; a new set of photos and now offered by strega_68, rather than angeli_65, they must have been getting desperate for cash - and yesterday caved in to a lower offer of 'only' $600: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281041453243

This JDM 7A28-7000 Ripley Aliens listed on eBay earlier today, by an Indonesian seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of $1399 certainly qualifilies for the 'crazy' tag, if not the 'craziest' we've seen. But somehow, I doubt he'll have much difficulty finding a willing buyer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221180765890

You'll probably appreciate the (bitsa) Bishop I posted in the 'Bottom of the Barrel' thread, even less then, Daz.

You'll regularly see speculative would-be sellers asking crazy prices for Bishops and Aliens (and other Seiko 7Axx's) on Yahoo Japan. This one made me chuckle, not only for the stupid price, but the seller's fanciful choice of user ID: http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m109411185 ウルトラ超レア〓7A28クロノグラフスピードマスター〓ミリタリー Ultra Ultra Rare Speedmaster Chronograph 7A28 〓 〓 Military
Yup - a relatively common (non-Speedmaster) civilian 7A28-702A with an opening bid price of 118,000 Yen. That's equivalent to £832 / $1317.50 in real money. So, given his user ID, there's really only one smiley I can end this post with.

I noticed that 7A48-7000 originally listed in November last year, with a risible asking price of £599, finally sold earlier today .... after at least 11 declined offers, that I'd seen: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221153299895
And I bet it went for a LOT less than the £449 it had been reduced to by then, too. Unfortunately, due to the method of private listing used, it seems we'll never know what it actually sold for.

Starting bid is 500€ for this 7A28-7060:
I really like it, but it's well overpriced for this condition! Just look at the bracelet and the case, the edge of the pusher looks slightly worn. Moreover it seems that someone bent the tension finger spring in the opposite direction. Otherwise dial & tachy ring looks excellent to me, shame on the price.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned this 7A38-702A listed yesterday by an Italian seller: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140915987357
I suppose we should be grateful that the price is only 530 Euros. In comparison, the really crazy one on Yahoo Japan for 118,000 Yen, ended today: http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m109411185 But that one is 'Military' whereas this one is only 'James Bond'. Who do these sellers think they are fooling besides themselves ?

Another one for Daz (or probably not) Crazy-ish price for one of his crazy designs. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150999626023
Not sure where the seller got his GL8-65 model suffix from, but in my book that's a 7A28-5000 Guigiaro 'Steering Wheel'. More discussion about these, in an earlier thread in this section: http://www.seiko7a38.com/apps/forums/topics/show/8026380
