I suppose I should post something French to start the top of page 69. So here's my troisième Yema Spationaute III Aragatz 'Cadran Drapeux' on a navy blue Fleurus shark strap.

In a similar vein (and 43mm diameter size) - this afternoon, I'm wearing a Yema N8 (model # N80Q16) Flygraf.

Hey, I can carry on with this French thing all the way down the page if need be. Anybody else please feel free to jump in there and post a wrist shot of a 7Axx 'Made in Japan'. This afternoon a Breguet Classique rip-off - my second string Yema N81W63. Faux guilloché dial, pomme hands, fluted case, cabouchon crown; this one's got the lot - including, unfortunately, a lightly domed crystal which makes it tricky to photograph.
Note to self: a lightly scratched slightly domed crystal (between XII and I), which I hadn't noticed before. | |

Continuing in a similar vein, another long established French watch brand name from the Seiko / C.G.H. conglomerate, wrapped around a re-branded 7A38 movement. Typically French in design, but aimed squarely at the US export market. The delightfully quirky little Jaz N8YZ669.

Thought I'd take a break from the French stuff - to wish Happy Birthday to an old friend. Wearing my original stainless 7A38-7270 SAA093J this morning. The case-back serial number is 791339, indicating that it was manufactured sometime in September 1987, which makes it 30 years old this month. Still keeping incredibly accurate time too.

Nobody else fancy contributing, besides Don ? Oh well, you'll just have to put up with more of these then. Later production Yema Spationaute III Aragatz (6 prefix serial number) on a dark navy ZRC 'double jonc' strap.

Good Morning; 1988 RAF issue 7A28, on a non issued strap, fresh back from a visit to the Maidenhead 'spa'.

@MisterRolex - Your choice of reading matter (as a background) is a bit of a giveaway, James. Me, I don't do military. This is about as close as anything I own to vaguely resemble a military style watch: The Yema N81X26.

I make no apologies if I've posted this one fairly recently (and many times before) - it just happened to be close at hand. My subtly modded 7A38-7070 Franken fitted with the all-black 709L dial from a 7A38-7080, 7A28-7040 handset, etc ....

I guess I wrote this already in this thread, but that´s really a great mod. I´m wearing something quite similar today; my 7A38-7070. It is surely not perfect but good enough for everyday wear.

Continuing with the rotating bezel theme, a Kamatz 517000.

The rotating bezel theme or the French theme, Don ?

After two rather "exotic" timepieces a classic SEIKO. One of my all-time-favourites: 7A28-701A.

You're right, Achim - that is a 'classic'.

Wearing my newest incoming Seiko 7A38 this afternoon. It arrived mid-week and as can be seen from the eBay seller's photos (if you click on the link above) was a bit grubby. So I decided to strip it down and give it the full 'spa treatment'. Just finished nailing it back together this morning. Apart from a damned good clean, I fitted a replacement Sternkreuz MSM crystal, new crown and pusher O-ring seals and case-back gasket. Oh Yes - and a new battery; I really don't understand why the seller hadn't fitted one himself, because he'd unscrewed the case-back.

Beautiful! I picked up one of these myself last month and it really is my perfect watch. I'm at the point of wondering what to get next - as I suspect nothing will float my boat as much!
