Seiko 7A38 - by the numbers

Someone picked up a bargain Gen. 1 Seiko 7A28-7120.

I already have one and have my spare funds put by for other items, otherwise I would have had a last second snipe.

Considering I have seen these selling recently for up to £475 and condition was very good, this was a real bargain. 

Told you I didn't want one, Chris - even at the 'bargain' price of £265. 

Ebay has been absolutely flooded with the damned things lately - and besides the listing had received over 500 views over the 7 days.

So it's not as if the majority of British military watch collectors who drive these disproportionate selling prices can't have seen it, is it ?

Look closely at the seller's only photo. In fact you don't need to look that closely ....

Bent fixed spring bar; all the usual small dings around the integral bezel, chipped crystal ....

Which, as I've written before, I'd suspect were more likely sustained not 'in combat', but falling over p!ssed outside the Mess.
