Yeh - I know what I wrote at the top of the first page and I've broken my own rule numerous times since then - but what the heck ! Here's another Yema N8 listed on eBay in the States earlier today: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321111172620
The opening bid price of $55 isn't so bad, but the additional cost of $42 for shipping to Europe just blows it clean out of the water. Diabolical photos - all three of them and according to the seller's item condition, it has some "VG scratches" ! It's a relatively commonly found N8 variant: model # N80P896, sort of an odd little 'pseudo plongeur' - you can't really call it a 'Diver'. It was one of these (a black-faced version) that started my Yema N8 collection back in November 2009. See this old SCWF thread. They come in 4 dial colours (all with gold sub-dials) - black; blue, burgundy and this white-faced version, that's probably the nicest.

Izeldor's (a.k.a. Leanne @ watchfactory.com) latest eBay auction listing for a NIB Yema Spationaute III just ended a few minutes ago: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190826565258
This was a 'yellow lume baton' dial on the plain navy blue leather strap, which have proven less popular than the shark strap version. It sold for $227.50 (approx. £149) after 3 bids - two of which were a 'double snipe' by the winning bidder. So he definitely wanted it.

It's a relatively commonly found N8 variant: model # N80P896, sort of an odd little 'pseudo plongeur' .... Weird innit ? When this happens, as it inevitably sometimes does, I call it 'London Bus syndrome'. Right behind; here comes another. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130894095714
The relevant part of the description reads: 1pc USED parts watch that will NOT RUN and sold AS-IS for parts/ repair/restoration. Vintage YEMA Chrono quartz. Complete hands/stem/crown / date, time sets. Movement shows some stain/dust . Stainless case/back cover.
That said, had I not posted the previous one yesterday, I'd One for those who feel the need to rescue 'lost causes' perhaps, but otherwise beyond sensible economic redemption.

What was I wrote about 'London buses' ? This time listed on LeBonCoin.fr, rather than eBay: http://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/465972544.htm?ca=1_s Yema chro date jour Mise en ligne par kerkoud le 23 avril à 18:54.

Whereas that one's still languishing on LeBonCoin unsold, two weeks later .... I suspect this Yema Spationaute III, listed less than an hour ago on LeBonCoin, possibly won't hang around for quite so long: http://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/472219755.htm?ca=1_s
Having said that, like the previous, it does have a badly scratched crystal and is in need of a battery replacement. So perhaps not. In case some of the incorrect 'characteristics' in the seller's description: 'Boîtier titane' and 'Verre réalisé en hésalite' sound familiar .... The seller obviously copied most of them, almost verbatim, from the usual source of mis-information: http://www.lacotedesmontres.com/actu/Yema-Master-Elements-No_6361.htm (and scroll way down).
Which in turn was originally sourced from the now defunct 'Historique' section of the old Yema (1948) website. And so, the urban myth of the Titanium cased Yema Spationaute III continues to be proliferated.

It's becoming patently obvious (to me) that I'm not keeping a close enough eye on these various Indonesian blogspot sellers. BataviaJam blogspot particularly. Due to their sensibly low asking prices, anything worth having doesn't hang around for long. I did a quick search on Yema on his site this afternoon: http://bataviajam.blogspot.com/search?q=yema and found I'd missed another Yema N7 he'd sold: http://bataviajam.blogspot.com/2013/04/yema-chronograph-france-lug-cantik.html YEMA CHRONOGRAPH FRANCE LUG CANTIK SOLD
If I'm reading the case-back model # correctly, from the last small photo - it's a N71X32, which slots in nicely between the N71X31 and N71X33, using the same design watch case, that I'd seen and mentioned earlier in this thread. The difference with this particular Yema N7 variant being the attractive dial with italic Arabic numbers - as opposed to pointed or square batons and just 'XII' or '12' at the top. Never having actually seen one of these before, I wouldn't like to vouch for the originality of the sweep second hand. It doesn't look right; the watch has obviously been messed with, at some point, because the Tachymeter dial ring spacer is well out of alignment.

Another somewhat 'less-than-stellar' listing for a Yema Spationaute III on LeBonCoin.fr earlier today: http://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/485369009.htm?ca=1_s Montre yema spationaute3 Mise en ligne par Larbi le 1 juin à 13:37.
Prix: 10 € Ville : Fontaine Code postal : 38600 Description: Montre yema spationaute 3chronographe Aragatz cccp-france NB OP 76 vol longue dures faire une offre. Going by ze 'orrible 'shark' strap fitted and the lousy photos, I'd say 10 Euros is probably as fair an offer as the seller deserves.

An eBay auction for a Yema N8 1X26 ended a couple of minutes ago. I deliberately hadn't mentioned it in this thread while the listing was current, because a couple of forum members had expressed an interest in it. It was a fairly decent looking example, nevertheless, I was a little surprised at the figure it sold for: $190.07 (approx. £122.43) - and that the auction ended in a last ten second shoot-out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140989235199
The price achieved was no doubt due to the Hungarian seller having included 'with Seiko 7A38 movement' in his listing title. Pity he missed the '6' off the end of N8 1X26. The auction received 341 views over the 10 days. His photos weren't too shabby either.

There've been a few Yema N8 1X26's offered by various Indonesian blogspot sellers recently. Some were in 'less than ideal' condition. This one, first listed on 16th May, which doesn't look too bad apart from the hands' aged lume, is still unsold: http://bataviajam.blogspot.com/2013/06/yema-chronograph-france-quartz.html YEMA CHRONOGRAPH FRANCE
Asking price is 850,000 Indonesian Rupiah - equivalent to around $86.50, less than half the price of the one sold on eBay yesterday.

This Yema N8 Flygraf was listed on eBay in the States just over a week ago. I'll admit I deliberately didn't post anything about the auction while it was current, because I was vaguely interested in it myself - mostly for the decent condition of the bezel and case. Once bidding got over $150, common sense kicked in and I started chanting my mantra I-really-didn't-need-another-Yema-N8-Flygraf http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271222639626
The seller included 10 high resolution photos in his listing, but I've only uploaded 5 of them:
UP FOR BID IS A YEMA FLYGRAF.THE BEZEL MEASURES 40 MM IN DIAMETER, THE CASE IS ALL STAINLESS,SILVER IN COLOR. THE CASE IS IN GOOD CONDITION THE STRAP IS NOT SIGNED. THE DIAL IS CLEAN, MINUTE HAND HAS SOME LOSS AS SHOWN. THE QUARTZ MOVEMENT IS RUNNING GOOD, CHRONOGRAPH IS WORKING. Apart from the missing lume in minute hand, the seller failed to mention the fact that the tip of the sweep second hand (and the lume pip) had been painted dayglo red. The 'unsigned' black croco' strap was (evident in his photos) a Bulova strap. What concerned me more was that in a couple of the photos, the crown wasn't screwed down. Mindful of the problems witnessed previously with stripped threads and broken crowns on these, I messaged the seller, asking whether it would actually screw down. He replied that it was OK. By the time I went to bed last night (I had an early night for a change), it was already over $180, mostly thanks to the efforts of a novice bidder (j***a) who had made much of the running. It ended with a last 5 second shoot out, selling for $207 (approx, £132) after 24 bids,

Merde !! A year later, and another French seller on LeBonCoin is using the same 'stock image' of my watch. I guess that's the price of fame. http://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/497578134.htm?ca=1_s Chronographe YEMA FLYGRAF Mise en ligne par huart le 25 juin à 22:38.
At least Huart's initial asking price is a bit nearer the mark, than Philippe's was. If it's true what he's written in his description: 'near new condition, very little worn', he might do better taking some photos of his own.

Another Yema N8 1X26 was listed on eBay in the States, at the beginning of July, this time rather less well described than the previous example, simply titled as 'Yema Watch' (with no mention of 'Seiko 7A38' anywhere). Once again I deliberately refrained from flagging it up in this thread while the auction listing was current, because a forum member had expressed an interest. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141009135788
YEMA PARIS N8 1X26 15 JEWEL QUARTZ WATCH. LEATHER BAND SOME WEAR. SHIPPING INCLUDES INSURANCE.
The auction ended yesterday evening, @ $91 (approx. £61) after 4 bids - less than half the price of the previous example.

This Yema N71Z36 Americas Cup ('7A28') was listed on eBay France a week ago, with a reasonably low opening bid of 50 Euros. I hadn't mentioned it in this thread before because I'd sent a link to a fellow collector who I thought might be interested in bidding on it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350827092283
The auction ended a few moments ago @ 141 Euros (approx. £121.50) after 18 bids - rather higher than we might have expected.

It's a relatively commonly found N8 variant: model # N80P896, sort of an odd little 'pseudo plongeur' .... Yet another turned up on eBay in the States overnight, in a similar well worn condition to the previous examples, higher up the page. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251303144133
THIS IS A MEN'S WATCH. SOLD AS IS. USA ONLY. it has been in a drawer for years. Gotta love the description.

You may remember this slightly At the time I made the seller a low-ball offer. The advert re-appeared on ForumaMontres (as a new post) in July: http://forumamontres.forumactif.com/t149258-vendu-yema-echiquier-line-quartz This time the asking price had been reduced to a more sensible 130 Euros. Again, I made the seller a lower offer. He actually agreed to it, but then said he wasn't happy to accept payment by Paypal. So I left it. There was another reason too .... Last week, he listed another NOS dressy Yema, this time, the Breguet Classique - lookalike N81W63 model: http://forumamontres.forumactif.com/t150488-vendu-yema-chrono-quartz
Although I already had a fairly decent example, I wasn't going to let this one pass, after all NOS is NOS - so I PM'd him. He responded by offering me a deal (comparable to my previous low-ball offer) for the two of them, which I agreed to. They were delivered this afternoon. Whereas I'd had reservations about the N81W43, because I thought the smaller dial printing (YEMA, PARIS and QUARTZ) might have faded badly - look at the seller's photos and you'll see what I mean. It's actually fine. Remember this bit: I spotted this dressy Yema N81W43 in a bizarrely titled for sale advert .... I was referring to the seller's use of "Echiquier line" in the title of his advert. Not so 'bizarre' it seems. Seems he got it 'straight from the horse's mouth', so to speak:
Wrapped around the two watch boxes was a sheath of paper - photocopies of pages from a Yema catalogue.

I may suffer from a certain predeliction for collecting 'different variations' of Yema Spationaute III's, but I think I'll pass on this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300957261221
Yema N8 Flygraf's may have come fitted with Mercedes hands ....
.... But I've never yet seen a Spationaute III fitted with them before. At first, I suspected these hands might be off a Yema N8 Flygraf. They're very similar, but the point of the minute hand is a broader based triangle. Whatever they're off, it looks like they've been stripped; polished and re-lumed. The whiteness of the lume is the giveaway. It just looks too 'new' compared to the rest of the watch.
I don't think I've ever seen an hour and minute hand (re)fitted quite so badly 'out of sync' either. Note that the time shows 7 minutes past Ten, but the hour hand is still well short of hitting the 10 o'clock baton. Absolutely Apol-ling - even by their lowly standards ! Then there's that delightful 'authentic' (not) non-original crown fitted. I wonder if it actually screws down, or if you hammer it in ?

I wonder what the error could have been. Evidence of sadly lacking hand-setting skills, perhaps ? ![]()

It's back again - hands now suitably re-positioned. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370897375406
The hands now show the time as 7 minutes after 10, instead of 7 minutes after 9:45 (as before):
But that horrible non-original crown remains:
The movement backplate doesn't look too clever either and has possibly suffered from a battery acid leakage and / or water ingress.
You can just about make out where SHIMAUCHI Ltd. was printed (under the H.M.S. coil cover), but V906 over the CMOS IC is gone.
The battery positive plate is obviously a replacement off a 7A28A (it should be blank). Here's how it would have looked originally:
