Seiko 7A38 - by the numbers

Simply to pass comment on anything interesting (7Axx-wise) that you might see in the For Sale / Trading Post sections of other forums.

It can be used to draw attention to 7Axx's currently offered for sale / sold on the other main English language forums: MWR, PMWF, RLT, SCWF (SCTP) TimeZone, TZ-UK, WUS, etc. For that matter, any foreign language forums: Chronomania, ForumaMontres (both French); ForodeRelojes.es, Horlogeforum.nl, Oroligio & Passioni; TempusVivendi.com.br, UhrForum.de, etc., which you might browse.

No problem with anyone posting direct links to such adverts, either - as long as you are not promoting your own FS on another forum !

If you decide to pass critical or adverse comment about a watch for sale on another forum, please try to remain factual ....

and needless to say, be sure to get your facts right - unlike the faux pas I made denouncing Achim's 7A38-7070 as a Franken.

There are a few 'dealers' who buy watches cheaply on eBay, and try to re-sell them for quick profits on forums. No names, no packdrill.

If you attempt to point out an instance (and it's quite common), either link the original eBay auction, or state the previous selling price.

Again, dangerous ground - so be careful. Remember, this is still currently a PUBLIC forum, and you never know who might be reading.

Lastly, should you have done a deal to buy a watch on another forum, which has gone pear-shaped or sour - this is NOT the place to bitch about it. Please take the problem back to the forum where you bought the watch, and get their admin / moderators to sort it out.
