This stainless 7A38-7000, in average worn condition, fitted with a leather strap was listed mid-week by a Canadian eBay seller, with an over-optimistic 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of $500 Cdn., or the option to make a lower more realistic offer. The seller makes no mention of the original bracelet, but has included a couple of photos, which don't give an indication of its overall length. It shows plenty of wear.

This stainless 7A38-7000 in less than ideal condition was listed in the early hours of this morning, by a US eBay seller psrtyinmyhair, with a 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of $475, or the option to make a lower more sensible offer. It's being offered through eBay's dysfunctional GSP programme, which will add a further $157.50 in charges for anybody stupid enough to contemplate it. Personally I'd avoid this one altogether.

The above Italian eBay 7-day auction listing for a stainless 7A38-7000, in need of repair, ended yesterday evening selling for 175.51 Euros after 55 bids. Checking the bidding history, it's not difficult to conclude that the auction was typically shilled in the best Italian tradition - as high as 131 Euros. 24 of those 55 bids were placed by bidder 6***8 (6) who has 100% bidding activity with the seller. Academic though, because a couple of others outbid him in the final seconds.

This stainless 7A38-7000 head only parts watch was listed early this morning by a Guamanian (US) eBay seller, with a somewhat over-optimistic Buy-it-Now price of $135. Though what use the knackered 'Arnie' H558 module, which comes with it in the lot, is anybody's guess. Note the nasty ding on the case-back flange. Could somebody have tried to remove the case-back with a centre punch ?

The Guamanian seller subsequently added the H558-5000 'Arnie' watch case to the listing and made his photo of that the primary image. For reasons best known to himself, he dropped '7A38' from his listing title, but if you check the photos and description, it was still included in the lot. The 10-day auction ended earlier this morning, with this 'junk' job lot of parts selling for $172.50 after 14 bids.

The Canadian eBay seller had re-listed that stainless 7A38-7000, reducing his original 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price from $500 Cdn. to $400 Cdn. Just going through my eBay watching page, I noticed he'd ended the re-listing in the early hours of this morning, because of an alleged error in the listing.

This almost mint stainless 7A38-7000 was listed yesterday, by the Italian eBay seller simone00simone, with a fanciful 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of 800 Euros (or the option to make a lower more realistic offer). He's used the words 'NOS' in the title and 'New old stock' in the item specifics and description, but he's categorised the condition as 'Used' - which is closer to the truth. He mentions the small scratch on the crystal in his description. Studying the photos, there are a few light 'Desk Diver' marks on the clasp and the condition of the JWC inspection sticker on the case-back points to the watch having been worn. That all said, the watch is evidently in very well cared for condition. This is probably the nicest example to come up on eBay in the last 12 months (since I bought my allegedly 'New with Tags' example last March), so it'll be interesting to see what this one actually sells for.

Presumably the error was in the pricing and he sold it off eBay, via the 'back door' - for a more realistic figure.

This stainless 7A38-7000 in decent used (but certainly not 'New without tags') condition was listed late yesterday evening by a Spanish eBay seller, with a typical ludicrous 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of 900 Euros, or the option to make a lower more realistic offer. Note the misalignment of the Tachymeter ring, indicating that the dial / movement has been removed at some point.

Over the last week or so, the Spanish eBay seller had made a few revisions to his listing for the above ludicrously over-priced stainless 7A38-7000, including twice reducing the Buy-it-Now price from his original risible 900 Euros to 'only' 550 Euros.

Yesterday morning, he ended the listing, because the item was no longer available, so he may have sold if off eBay, in response to a 'back door' offer, possibly one lower than that reduced figure. Your guess is as good as mine.

This fairly obviously cobbled together excuse for a stainless 7A38-7000 Head Only was listed a couple of days ago by a French eBay seller, as a 10-day auction listing with an opening bid price of 1 Euro. Despite his incompetent botched efforts, it's still a non-runner, described as for spares or repair. The Shimauchi V906 movement is very likely from a Yema N8. It's clearly been buggered about with, because this idiot has fitted the battery positive plate underneath the anti-magnetic back-plate. First time I've seen that done ! Note it has a white date wheel, presumably belonging to that movement, and a black day wheel (as a stainless 7A38-7000 should have). The pusher button @ 2 o'clock is much shorter than the other two and could be off any 7Axx. I'm not even going to hazard a guess which.
