Another typically dull grey overcast and drizzly Sunday afternoon.

After a bout of 'Man Flu' it was back to work on what started out as a lovely sunny day. I was wearing this, my 'Bishop' 7A28-6000 that I fitted a new crystal to last night:
But, mid moring my colleague remembered I'd had a package delivered and handed me this:
a 7A38-701B 'Vulcan'. It's in better condition than I expected (that's me doing my Maverick impression)

I fitted a new crystal to my 7A38-701B last night and a 7 (instead of 5) hole clasp and enjoyed wearing it all today: Here are a couple of better (than yesterdays) pics:

This afternoon, I've been wearing my latest incoming - a 7A38-6060, which turned out to be something of a disappointment. Despite its comparative rarity, not only as I'd anticipated, is it as ugly as sin, but it also badly needs a new crystal and bezel.
It came on a 20mm black leather strap, which had been notched to fit the 18mm lug width. I rummaged around in my strap drawer and came up with this suitably fugly 18mm navy blue double ribbed strap, which will do for the time being, until I can find something better.

I finally got round to ordering a new crystal for my 7A28-701A:
it's in great condition, with a Speedmaster clasp and the nice anodised / matt finish. ( the crystal I fitted was the Sternkreuz XMF330.928 )

Very nice, Simon. Probably the classic 7A28 'Speedmaster' IMHO and my personal favourite. PS - Good to see that Sternkreuz offer a direct replacement for the obsolete Seiko p/n 330W26GN00 crystal.

Today I'm wearing my favourite 7A38 (apparently), the 7A38-7010.
It needs a new crystal and some paint improvement on the bezel insert.....later on

We took a family trip to Upton House, just north of Banbury today. In the sun I was sporting my 7A38-701B 'Vulcan'
the gardens were full of colour, my favourite:

Yes, I'm rather partial to a bit of blue myself, as a certain forum member recently was so kind as to point out. Monday morning blues - my 7A38-706A 'beater' on very dark blue TSS Watchworx Aerosport Mk2 leather strap:

Today it's my second newest 7T34, a 7T34-6A09. I've bought a couple of these from America, but I picked this one up from a UK seller and it's in almost pristine condition. I was amazed that I was the only bidder on it:
the plating and bezel is perfect - it looks like new

Not that I should be dishing out free plugs to other watch forums, but guess what I stumbled across this morning ? http://www.dailywristshot.com/forum/ Yup - a dedicated watch wrist shot forum !

Today, it's my 7A38-7010 which I picked up a few weeks ago. It's in good condition, better than I was expecting and comes with the original bracelet (which is going to be moving over to my 'Vulcan' soon).

Not the most attractive of blue dialed 7A38's. Yema model # N8 OP8 96 'Pseudo Plongeur' on its original dark navy blue Yema strap:

Wearing my recently acquired almost-restored Kamatz 517000 'Panda' this afternoon. Subtitled: 'A Simple Study in Black & White'.
Just don't study the photo too closely - I haven't quite finished 'detailing' it yet.

Another 7T34 for me today, my newly arrived from America 7T34-6A0H:
the plating on the underside of the bracelet is a little worn, and the glass has some fine scratches (which on the white dial don't really show), but the case, bezel, dial and hands are all in jolly good nick (as we British would say). When it arrived (yesterday) it was behaving badly (intermittently working, no alarm sound etc) and I feared the worse (from experience). However, opening it up revealed a very tidy interior and a new battery was all it took.
