I've spent the best part of this morning going through one of my collection boxes, checking and replacing batteries. 10 needed them (out of 24 watch slots). :o This is another one I've just done. A fairly common model - the two-tone 7A38-7190 SAA054J.

From the man whose once oft-chanted mantra used to be: I don't do divers as a rule .... Glad I changed my mind. :)

Dived into my Divers collection box again this morning and came out with this big ugly bruiser - 7A38-6060 SAA071J.

I got that 7A38-6000 out this morning to sort out the sloppy-fitting end piece and slightly distorted first joining link on the six o'clock side of the bracelet, visible in the above photo, which have bugged me since I bought it.

It's better now, than it was (you'll have to take my word for it), but I may have another go at it again, later.

Meanwhile, this afternoon, I've swapped it for my 'Dinky Diver', fitted with non-original vintage Seiko 'Beads of Rice' bracelet.

I still think that "Beads of Rice" bracelet looks great, and loved the write up.

Tried to post yesterday but was having Wifi trouble and Photobucket was not responding. So I'll post yesterday's wrist shot today and catchup tonight with today's shot…

Wheeling West Virginia and their iconic bridge built in 1850. The State wanted to tear down the bridge but the locals banded together and were able to keep it as a national treasure. And as a side note, in August of 1972 while traveling with Mom and Dad the song "Country Roads Take Me Home" by Bob Denver came on the radio in the car just as we crossed this bridge. To this day when that song comes on I picture this bridge.

And now on to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

It's so hard to get a decent shot in an 'enclosed automobile'  :/ Here we are traveling on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Here is the background:

The whole trip I've had perfect weather. And thank you General Dwight D. Eisenhower for this wonderful Interstate Highway system. :)

My "Spare Watch" just happens to be another favorite of mine. Seiko RAF Gen 1, and not on a NATO but a US Military issue strap. :)

Easy to read for our 'older' eyes. I also carry a Robic Speed Memory stopwatch for timing my speed.

Notice the time and speed for a measured mile indicated on the time pieces…29.84 sec, at 120.643 MPH I was following a Lotus Evora and a '72 Porsche 911S. :D Disregard the KPH it is set MPH.

And now the moment I've been waiting for…New York City:

It's been a wonderful trip, picture perfect weather and not a drop of rain.  :)

Here is the above New York skyline in focus taken from just above Hoboken New Jersey. (Home town of Frank Sinatra).

Meantime, while Paul was driving across the USA, a package he'd posted to me from Las Vegas overtook him at some point.

It arrived yesterday while I was out and I collected it from the Royal Mail sorting depot this morning. Thanks again, Paul !

The package contained a very tidy, if not quite mint example of a black chrome 7A38-7290 SAA095J.
