Please post your WRIST shots of your 7Axx's in this thread - and if it's a 7A38 -
ideally with the correct day / date showing. Call me a pedant if you like. 

It is not intended for posting of musings; other people's ebay listing photos or random smilies with no accompanying text. 

As stated on the first page of this thread (and copied and pasted verbatim above), it is for posting WRIST SHOTS of your watches.

Here's a quick and dusty one from me, if nothing else to replace Rob's inappropriate borrowed photo that I deleted earlier.

Not quite a two-tone 7A38-7289, but the equivalent 7A38-728A which I picked up for 30 quid on a fuzzy photo gamble a few years ago.

The adjoining slot in my collection box (next to that 7A38-728A SAA122J) is home to my 7A38-728A SAA128J - subject of this thread.

Rather more tasteful than its common-or-garden 7A38-728x siblings, without their gold sub-dial rings - and somewhat harder to find.

In the first couple of years of my collecting spree, I acquired more two-tone 7A38-728x's than common sense / good taste allows.

Rather than chuck them back in the Bay (or have lesser duplicate examples in my collection), I converted a couple into Frankens.

I posted a wrist shot of the other one recently, (a couple of pages back), but this one hadn't seen the light of day in nearly a year.

It started life as a two-tone white Roman 7A38-7289, but is fitted with the 718L dial of a 7A38-7260 and IIRC, 7A38-7190 main hands.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't say that all my 7A38 franken building experiments have turned out entirely successfully. This one should have worked - on paper, at least, because it follows the same formula - 718L dial (out of my 'beater' gunmetal / gold two-tone 7A38-725A) in a gold-tone 7A38-728x case (another 7A38-7289 that I bought cheaply, deliberately to break up for parts). But it's so damned ugly !

When I built it nearly two years ago, in May 2012, I wrote (on page 7 of this thread) ....

I thought about 'brightening things up a bit' yesterday, myself, Simon - but then had second thoughts (about admitting to / posting it). 

This was another experimental Franken 7A38 combination that I cobbled together over the weekend - it turned out just a bit too blingy.

Needless to say, I'm not wearing it today, nor ever likely to again ! 

Nor indeed have I until today, when I re-discovered it.  Unluckily for this watch, being the 13th, because I just realized that the case and bracelet's gold plating on this is in far better condition than my gold-tone 7A38-728A franken. So you can guess what's coming.

Another blingy one to brighten up another dull overcast morning, but this time as Seiko intended it. Wearing my 7A38-6109 SAA114J.

Another from the man whose tagline used to be: I don't do 'Diver's as a rule.  My other, second 7A38-7050. 

My first one, which (as received) was something of a 'beater' resto' project was kindly donated to my collection by Michael Rothe and became the first 7A38 Diver in my collection. It's since benefitted from a NOS bezel and 4 (badly needed) bracelet adjustment links.

Got this out one for a couple of reasons:

Firstly to highlight the correct hour and minute hands, compared to the botched example offered by Filipino eBay seller Badingski.

Secondly, because I'm currently looking at another possible supplier for alternative substitute replacement crystals. The original Seiko p/n 315W20GN00 crystal is obsolete and unavailable. When I'd re-furbished the previous one (which had an absolutely blitzed crystal) I ended up fitting an SKX007 Diver crystal, but the polished bevelled edge was too big and I really wasn't ever entirely happy with it.

Another blingy one on this delightfully sunny spring Sunday afternoon. My Orient J39909-80. Had to find some shade to take this. 

Make the best of this, because it's a sight you won't see very often - yours truly wearing a 7A28. In fact, my one and only 7A28-7040:

The Orient is way too blingy.. for my taste ...

Something a bit more subtle today - one of Achim's ('gufi') favourite Seiko 7A's: 7A38-7130 SAA092J.

An 'oldie but a goodie' today - the very first 7A38 I ever bought on eBay, way back in December 2008 (and then only my second 7A38) - and still going strong 5 years later. Dead common, there's a few of them listed on eBay currently. The two-tone 7A38-7060 SAA016J.

Wearing my first (and still favourite) 'bitza' Yema Spationaute III N80P96 this afternoon .... the way it's looked for the last 5 years.

.... it's 'Mission Flags' dial is soon finally to be re-united with the correct silver-painted hands that belonged to the original watch. 

Another miserable wet Sunday - few glimpses of sunshine. Managed to grab this shot of my Orient J39701-70 between hail showers.
