This morning, as I was writing up another thread involving it, elsewhere in this section, I wore my 7A28-7040:
Of course, as it has no Day / Date .... you'll just have to take my word for it, won't you.

As the Sun's come back out this afternoon, I thought I'd try to out-shine it, with the blingiest Seiko 7A38 of them all - the 7A38-6109:

This morning, I've been wearing another watch that I'd fitted with a non-original bracelet - the first 7A38 which I slightly modded .... a 7A38-7260 on a Seiko p/n Z1623 bracelet:
It took ages to radius the bracelet end pieces to fit the case to my satisfaction. The 7A38-726x isn't perfectly circular - more eliptical.

This afternoon, it's that watch from Seiko's 1986 TV advert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGiphyRTJ-A - the titanium 7A38-7120:
You know, the one with the odd clunky piano backing music, which goes ....

This morning, I've been wearing a faithful friend 'Old Number One' - my original stainless 7A38-7270, which I've owned since 1988:
Some may consider them 'dull and boring' or call them 'common or garden' (which, in fact, they are), but still the classic Seiko 7A38, IMHO .... and one that happens to be very dear to my heart. BTW - the wabi is all completely original - inflicted by myself, and the accumulated wrist cheese / DNA on the bracelet is all mine !

This afternoon, a slightly less common variation on the above theme - my silver-dialed 7A38-727A (SAA131J):
I discovered this one had a flat battery during my weekend re-setting exercise. I replaced it this morning, treating her to a new crystal (Sternkreuz MSM310) at the same time - though the watch case still needs a light re-finishing at some point. Another 'roundtuit' job.

It's great to see the variety of 7A38's Paul. Please keep them coming ................ I've got several 'new' 7A38's but all need some level of work doing (mostly bracelet related) to allow me to wear them, so it will be a little while before I can show them here.

Well done on getting the date set correctly, Arpad. What else would be more suitable for this lovely sunny Wednesday than a 7A48-7040?? But your Check this out: http://www.calculatorcat.com/moon_phases/phasenow.php I used to use it to set my 7A54-7009, while it was still a novelty, but I've passed that phase now.

Anyway, today's Q&D wrist-shot (from me) follows the pattern I started earlier in the week. It wasn't the one I had intended to get out, but I needed to take a couple of photos for another thread, and so .... Gentlemen, I give you the ultimate stealth 7A38

Paul, please ignore the moon phase dial....I just set it up to this position because it looks the best in this arrangement

No - I'm sorry, Arpad - the whole point of having a moon-phase complication is that is shows the current phase of the moon. Besides - I think it looks best in the middle.
