Seiko 7A38 - by the numbers

I thought this would finally be the moment for me to get one, but with the holidays (and in-laws) flying in... it is not to be.

Looks like a German date wheel...

I wouldn't lose any sleep in passing on that one. It's not the best example of a 7A38-7010, especially @ the $300 asking price.

Look closely at the bezel insert - it's nibbled away at the edges. Plus if the seller's photos are anything to go by ....

(brushed finish on bracelet links and the non SQ non-original clasp) ....

It's fitted with one of those Feiko 20mm after-market bracelets - NOT an original p/n Z1118S.

PS - it is a German / English Day wheel - all 7A38's are dual language.

The best place to look for a 7A38-7010 (for a better price) is on eBay Germany, where I expect that one came from.

Much nicer, lightly used condition, with minimal wear to the black chrome coating, but not exactly priced to sell @ $450.
