What actually reminded me of its existence, prompted me to re-name this topic and eventually move it to the 7A38-xxxx model specific section, was this unmolested example, in average worn condition, fitted with a period replacement leather strap, which was listed yesterday afternoon by an Italian eBay seller, with a 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of 230 Euros, or the option to make a lower more realistic offer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124223889937
Vintage SEIKO Chronograph Quartz 7A38-706B, !! in Perfect working order !! Quartz in perfect working condition. Diameter without crown: 37,8 mm; thickness: 10,3 mm. The glass has some scratch. Please, If you have any doubt, ask before bid. No return for this item, please. Shipping from Italy. Note that like all other undocumented Italian market variants, seen to date, be they 7A38-706A's or -706B's / gold-tone or two-tone / Arabic or Roman numbered dials, this one, like my own example, also has an 8Dxxxx prefix case-back serial number.

Having reduced the Buy-it-Now price slightly, from 230 to 219 Euros, for reasons best known to himself, the Italian eBay seller ended his above original listing for a gold-tone 7A38-706B as allegedly no longer available. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124223889937
20 minutes later, it was back on eBay, re-listed looking exactly the same as before. Checking my eBay watching page, I noticed the re-listing ended at lunchtime today. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124240140404 The alternative 'true selling price' link reveals it sold for a best offer of 205 Euros: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?viewitem&item=124240140404

This nice example of the Italian market gold-tone 7A38-706B was listed on Reddit's Watch Exchange a couple of days ago by user gogusrl (a.k.a. Romanian forum member Andrei). His asking price is a rather ambitious $400*. As with all previous examples, this one also has an 8Dxxxx (December 1988) case-back serial number. http://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/comments/jc3gtk/ [WTS] Seiko 7A38-706B Gorgeous Vintage Chronograph
*Andrei has since reduced his asking price to $350 - see this re-post comment.
