Just spotted this FS advert on WatchUS - a day too late: someone got themselves a comparative bargain priced 7A38-7010:

** SOLD ** Vintage Seiko Chronograph Sport 150 (7A38-7010) with Tachymetre bezel

I've got a couple in the drawer gathering dust, and since I've found this site and developed a jones for watches I'm going to try to move them along and fund something else.

This is a Seiko Sport 150 I bought new and wore a fair amount. The crystal is perfect, the bezel has a mark near the "60" and another near the "70", neither of which have broken the paint nor are they large enough to photograph. The back is somewhat scratched up, and the bracelet shows some wear as well. As you can see, the chrono hands are all dead bang on as well.

I'm not sure why I still have it, but this also comes with the original box, booklet, warranty card, and hanger tag.

I'm looking for $130 shipped/insured and I will take either a USPS money order, or PayPal with the fees on me. I'll ship USPS priority insured after the MO has cashed or the PayPal funds have cleared, and will only ship to a PayPal verified address in the US.

Pity about the butchered case-back, but otherwise a very good price for a sought after variant, Bet it didn't hang around very long. :/

According to this thread: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f63/winstonsmith-1021973.html the above 7A38-7010, which sold two days ago on WUS was purchased by Roverguy78 (a.k.a. Ben Sands) who, like Mike Mounce and Dan Braun, is not averse to a bit of buying and re-selling. So I wouldn't be unduly surprised to see this one pop up again in the near future - probably on the SCWF Trading Post. ;)

Edit: Hah. I'd forgotten Ben had registered on here (but never posted a word): http://www.seiko7a38.com/apps/profile/110232067/ :P

The watch is actually in better shape than it appeared in the photos. The majority of the scratches on the caseback are surface scratches that will clean up nicely with a cape cod polishing cloth. The only issue the watch has is that the calendar transitions at 8 instead of midnight. Will probably have my watchmaker reset the hands to correct it.

Funny my last should prompt you to post (for the first time), Ben. I had noticed the odd previous visit from Texas IP addresses. ;)
