Hello to everyone !
I started to look into this fascinating world and I was looking to buy a birthyear seiko. So I founded a 7A38-701B dated '85
But looking around I founded everyone speaking about a really small production just in 1983 so my question it is normal to find a 1985 watch and also in a very wonderful shape?

thank you for your opinions

That same watch has been (re)listed on eBay since 18th November last year, initially asking €1150 Euros.
The seller has re-listed it a total of 10 times so far, which smacks a little of desperation.
This is the latest re-listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/147086750611
I have seen a few 7A38-701B's with 5xxxxx serial numbers over the years. Most seem to turn up in Italy (like this one).
It appears to be in nice cosmetic condition, but the price (€1200 Euros) is too expensive. That's why it's still unsold.
PS - I know the seller. I have dealt with him before. His name is Domenico Mandaglio. (email: mandadome@gmail.com).

Here are some photos of his 7A38-701B 'Vulcan' that Domenico posted on Instagram as 'QueenSeiko', between 2021 and 2023. Unfortunately his account appears to have been deleted. Most are wrist shots.

Checking the old archived forum's model specific thread, this 7A38-701B, s/n 527696, was previously owned by another Italian collector, David Duca. He owned two mint examples at the time. See my post dated 25th July 2019.

Amazing… your knowledge is astonishing
But in the end so you think is genuine and seiko actually produced some more of them during 1985 ?
