After making
two revisions to that previous re-listing at the beginning of August, by which he'd reduced the Buy-it-Now price from the original ludicrous 1430 Euros to a marginally less ridiculous 1200 Euros, the Italian eBay seller ended the listing in the time honoured manner as
allegedly no longer available, which as often the case, was evidently untrue.

A matter of 3 minutes later, deluded Italian eBay seller
autleaf had re-listed his NOS 7A38-7140 as a 7-day auction, with the opening bid price reduced to 1190 Euros, shipping cost reduced to a nominal 1 Euro and with the option to make an offer:

A week later, he re-listed it again as another 7-day auction, further reducing the opening bid price to 1090 Euros:

Not exactly surprisingly, that re-listing ended earlier this morning without any bids placed and the watch still unsold. Instead of continuing in what most people would consider the sensible direction, this morning, the Italian eBay seller has re-listed it once again, but with the opening bid price increased back up to 1300 Euros !!

There's still the option to make an offer. So out of devilment, I decided it was about time I gave him a reality check.
I sent him a deliberately lowball offer of 130 Euros. He responded with a counter-offer of 1299 Euros, so continuing the 'move the decimal point game' I countered with 12.99 Euros. He appears to have cottoned on. This was his last counter.

After that, I sent him an eBay message, including a link to this thread. During our brief exchange he stated that he had already declined an offer of 800 Euros. I told him I thought he was a bloody fool for doing so, to which he responded:
thank you for telling me this，and this is my business，I do not regret it, and thank you again for reminding me.
So there you have it.
