The 'Vulcan' moniker is a myth. Fact - if you've got a Seiko 7A38-701B for sale, the best place to advertise it is on eBay.
This well-worn example, with slightly degraded lume, fitted with a non-original bracelet (possibly a Seiko p/n B1688S), and clasp extender, with the previous owner's name inscribed on the case-back, was listed late yesterday evening, by a New Zealand eBay seller, with a risibly over-optimistic 'pie-in-the sky' Buy-it-Now price of $1900 US !!

I wasn't particularly surprised to see the listing among my overnight saved search notifications, because the seller had already given it a plug on Instagram yesterday (along with 8 other 'newly arrived' watches they're offering for sale):
As you can see from their Instagram profile, they make no attempt to disguise the fact they're dealers. The link to their dramatically dark (shades of Kiwi black ?), but otherwise impressive website: fivefortyfive.nz reveals they are a B&M establishment, with a cosy, surprisingly well-lit boutique store in a popular central shopping district of Wellington, NZ. They appear to generally deal in other higher end brands, besides Seiko. Here's the link to the 'Vulcan' on their website:
Note the price shown there is $2210 NZ, which equates to $1614 US at today's exchange rate. I'd opine that's still way too expensive - more than double what this example is worth. Yeah OK, so they've got overheads, but .... seriously ?

Re: NZ Dealer lists a 7A38-701B 'Vulcan' on eBay
Checking my eBay watching page, I see that the NZ eBay seller ended their covert 'free advertisement' listing for that 7A38-701B 'Vulcan' in the early hours of this morning, as no longer available.

It's now also shown as 'Out of Stock' on their website, so presumably it was sold through that (or Instagram).
I just hope nobody was foolish enough to pay anything like their ludicrous asking price.
