I swapped that gunmetal coated grey dialed RACER J39723-70 for the white dialed version this afternoon.
The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing this subtly modded 7A38-7070 this morning, fitted with the all-black 709L dial from a 7A38-7080 and handset from a 7A28-7040/-7049. Call it a Franken if you like. This wasn't actually what I was planning to wear today, but I noticed it was doing the 'two-second two-step' (captured in the photo), so I'll replace the battery later this morning.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing my old favourite 'Dinky Diver' on this blue SATurday morning - 7A38-6000 SAA039J fitted with a non-original vintage Seiko 'Beads of Rice' bracelet.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Today I'm wearing this Yema Spationaute III 'beater' (with the minimal printing dial), fitted with a Graf 'Echt Haifisch' shark strap that has seen better days. Still haven't replaced that scratched crystal yet, either.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing this mint-ish Yema N8 Flygraf this morning. I can't remember the last time I wore this particular example. When I picked it up, the date was showing (MON) 23, before I corrected it, so I guess it's been quite a while. I recognise this watch, by the tiny nick in the bezel's compass scale, between 70 and 80. Bought it off eBay Germany, in January 2012 for €153 Euros, just out-sniping erstwhile fellow 7Axx collector Dave Swan. Ah, those were the days.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing another different Yema N8 Flygraf today. I've realized they're not getting enough wrist time, so I'm going to try wearing a different one each day of this week. Best I can remember, the last time I wore this one was nearly two years ago, when I replaced its battery in July 2020. I purchased this NOS example in March 2013 from a US eBay seller for $199. This was my third (after which I really should have called a halt) - I eventually ended up with 9 of them.
I documented most of my earlier purchases in an appropriately titled thread on the old forum.

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Ditto yesterday. Another Yema N8 Flygraf. I do remember when I last wore this particular example, because I posted it here in the WRUW thread back in July 2021. Still recognisable by the missing tip of the L.H. wing of the Flygraf logo. This was my fourth example, purchased on my behalf at the end of January 2015, by my faithful forwarding agent, Paul in Vegas (PHK), for a comparatively low $123.59 - then equivalent to a mere £82.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Not every watch in my collection is in pristine condition. This also applies to my Yema Spationaute III's and N8 Flygrafs. Sometimes they're let down by a slightly scuffed (hesalite) crystal, which isn't really bad enough to warrant replacing. As is the case with this, the 5th in my collection, purchased off eBay UK in December 2015 for £115 and change. The 'double jonc' strap is an original Yema fitment. Note the cream lume - a whiter shade of pale.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Two more Yema N8 Flygrafs from my collection. These were the 7th and 8th examples I acquired in 2018 and 2019. Both are effectively NOS, because they've hardly ever been worn. They originated from the stash uncovered by US eBay seller watchaddict412 in early 2018, though neither were purchased directly from him. IIRC, the second one came from old forum member Don. Excuse the tiny raindrops in my first photo. I did take more later, but this shot was the sharpest.
PS - If you were wondering what happened to my 6th - I already posted it at the beginning of May on the previous page.

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
This is my 9th (and last) Yema N8 Flygraf and a definite case of me really not needing another one. It's not the best, but when I bought it back in August 2019, I considered it comparatively cheap @ $250 and never could resist a bargain. By an amusing coincidence, today is exactly 1000 days since I bought it. Does that mean I'm finally cured ?
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Last but not least, my very first Yema N8 Flygraf, which I purchased off eBay France in December 2009 for €180 Euros. This one holds the dubious distinction of previously belonging to the ex-President of Yema (Maison Horlogère Française 1948) - Louis-Eric Beckensteiner. Not the best of examples, it came fitted with a black 'mock croc' strap and deployant clasp, from a later Flygraf model. (Full story here). I replaced it with a TSS Brooklands Mk II. Note also the wear to the bezel's inner logarithmic scale, presumably caused by someone polishing the crystal in situ.
It also featured in the Yema 'factory museum collection' (then fitted with the strap described above):

Wearing this dressy little two-tone 7A38-6080 SAA088J this morning.
Incidentally, this German market model featured in a Seiko advertising campaign for the UEFA Euro 88 championships.

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
A light grey dial to match the colour of the sky. It's been drizzling all morning, so please excuse the odd tiny raindrop.
Wearing my 7A38-7240 SAA108J. Just noticed it's doing the two-second two-step. Another battery replacement beckons.

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Continuing in two-tone grey dial mode, my mint 7A38-7190 SAA054J.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Same grey 710L dial; different case and bracelet. My two-tone 7A38-7280 SAA120J.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
After all those dull grey dials, I fancied a splash of colour. What better choice on this bright sunny blue-sky SATurday morning than one of my favourite Yema Spationaute III Aragatz's, nicknamed Grande Bleu. Blue shark strap is by Fleurus.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Counting down to the 106th running of America's greatest motorsport event later today. Wearing my (1985) Indianapolis 500-logo'd Orient J39701-70 this morning.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing one of my blingy 7A38-6109 SAA114J's this morning. This example was built from a salesman's sample case over two years ago. See my posts at the bottom of page 4 of the old archived forum's model thread. I don't think I've worn it since, so it deserved a long overdue outing.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Managed to grab this wrist shot of one of my Junghans 24/4610 High Tech Chrono's between the showers. Not the best of photos, nor one of my better examples. In fact, this is the first one I ever bought, back in October 2011. It's fitted with a non-standard crown and the dial is unusually missing the tiny lume pips at the ends of the hour batons. I've examined the dial with a loupe and there's no sign of them ever being there.
Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
A blingy start to the new month. This morning I'm wearing my 'second string' gold-tone 7A38-7000 SAA008J, which I've owned since February 2010.
