Something suitably colorful for this blue SATurday morning. My Yema Spationaute III Aragatz with the yellowed lume on Morellato 'Kajak' gommatex strap. :)

Spot the difference ? Afternoon swap for a 7A38-7029 SAA013J US market version (re-built many years ago using a salesman's sample case). So technically it's an AA013M (per the label on the case-back). #thisisNOTaRoyalOak either. :P

It's Franken Friday. Wearing my favourite modded stainless 7A38-7020, fitted with 709L dial (from a 7A38-7070) and Seiko p/n Z1020S bracelet. #thisisNOTaRoyalOak - not by any stretch of the imagination. :P

Wearing another Yema Spationaute III Aragatz on this blue SATurday morning. This one's a very early first year production example (serial # 1 004), fitted with a RIOS shark strap. I'm sure I've posted it a couple of times before.

My original stainless 7A38-7270 SAA093J, owned from new for 34 years since January 1988. Never serviced (or cleaned). Just replaced the battery in it this morning, otherwise it's completely original.

One of my pair of mint 7A38-725A SAA082J's. Can't remember when I last wore one of these - and I wasn't planning to today. But when I opened the watch box, this one had stopped; needed a replacement battery, which I've just fitted.

Wearing this 'second string' stainless 7A38-7000 SAA007J and feeling quite pleased with myself this morning. :D
I purchased this average condition example nearly 5 years ago, in late June 2017. It was problematic from Day #1. This plaintive thread on the old archived forum refers. It's spent most of its time in my ownership in pieces. Yesterday afternoon, I re-built it for the nth time; now the 4 o'clock pusher finally works !! Don't ask me what I did differently. :?

I continue to be astounded at the ridiculous prices asked by eBay sellers and that some folks are prepared to pay, for tired, less than ideal condition examples of stainless 7A38-7020 SAA009, thanks to the 'Royal Oak' misnomer hype.
I suppose I should consider myself fortunate to have picked up this almost mint example 5 years ago for £100 Quid. :D

Wearing another of my favourite Yema Spationaute III Aragatz's this blue SATurday morning. This well-travelled but VGC example, a limited numbered edition with the mission flags dial, is fitted with a Morellato shark strap.

One of those miniature flags is that of the Soviet Union. Prototype versions of these watches were worn by both French spationautes and Russian cosmonauts for the Soyuz TM-7 / Mir EO4 and subsequent later missions. The commander of the 1988 Aragatz mission was Aleksandr Volkov, who was born in Gorlovka, Donetsk oblast, Ukraine, then part of the U.S.S.R., the region known as Donbas (or Donbass). Hence he used that as his callsign. Thinking of him and his compatriots with the war currently raging between Russia and Ukraine.

I built this two-tone 7A38-7289 Franken 10 years ago. IIRC, the white 718L dial was donated by a two-tone 7A38-726A. Or maybe it was a gold-tone 7A38-7260 - same difference. A nice little 'Mod'. 8-) The case-back is stamped [SAMPLE]. Not that I've any plans to sell it, but if I did, I'd never try passing it off as a 'Prototype', unlike a certain eBay seller. :P

This morning I'm wearing this almost mint condition gunmetal coated RACER J39723-70, one of the first few Racer J39's I purchased (in a lot of three NOS) back in August 2013, with the kind assistance of Spanish forum member Julio (Jota).
