Rarer variant of Honda F1 - 7A28-7170 sold on Yahoo Japan

I've already written about these variants at some length, a few years ago, in an aptly titled thread in the 7Axx General Discussion area of the old forum: A rarer variant of Honda F1 - not a 7A28-7160, but a 7A28-7170. Earlier this week, I noticed an average worn example had been listed on Yahoo Japan as a 4-day auction listing, with an opening bid price of 10,000 Yen and a fairly obvious 1-digit typo in the title: -7171. It's currently a non-runner, typically described as 'Junk'. I thought I'd just give it a quick mention, to help towards populating this new 7A28 dedicated forum section.

I wasn't able to clearly discern the 'limited edition' number (on the 12 o'clock end of the watch case) in any of the seller's (10) photos, but a couple of the others were interesting, because they show how the ends of the watch case nestle into the bracelet's large first joining links, which I can't remember seeing before.

The auction ended a few moments ago, the finishing time having been automatically extended by 5 minutes, due to a couple of late placed bids. It sold for ¥36,801 Yen after 12 bids, equivalent to approx. $332.50 USD / £240.40 GBP.

Here's another 7A28-7170 Honda F-1 with a difference. It was listed on Yahoo Japan in the early hours of yesterday, by a 'Store' seller, as a 5-day auction with an opening bid price of 30,000 Yen (+10% Japanese Sales Tax) hence 33,000 Yen.

The seller's photos are small (600x450) and poor quality, but clear enough to see that this example has neither the additional limited edition number engraving on the 12 o'clock side of the watch case, nor '1992' printed on the dial.

Evidently less popular than the pukka 20th Anniversary engraved limited edition, that Honda F1 7A28-7170 eventually sold earlier this week, for the opening bid price of 33,000 Yen.
