Working but chrono no gogo, but check the tension finger.

So I figured worth a go. Be a fun cheap project.
I sorted the finger and I freed up the buttons but no joy starting the chrono. Tried the reset hold trick and that now worked but only the chrono seconds hand.
Tried another reset and the nine o'clock elapsed minutes jumped into life. Tried again and gave the 1/10 secs a nudge and that whipped around goodo:)
I noticed the very thin spring arm contact was stuck in on the start stop. Guess that's why the button didn't work. I noticed if you gently pressed further along it's length with a tweezers the head of the contact popped up. Popped it up and down a couple times and it's working now.

So much compost, lovely!

Either water or a leaky battery at some point did this. Cleaned it up with some dilute vinegar on a cotton bud. It's better but not perfect, will do. If I can find a dial I'd swop it, if not I'll run what I brung.

Cleaned the case and put the compost filled sprap in a strong solution in the US cleaner and here it is in all it's Tony Soprano like splendor. It's fully functional, keeping great time and the date changeover is good too. I'll probably do as I did the 7A28 and vapour blast it as I'm not a fan of gold. I have a sapphire and gasket waiting.
