Frequently recommended on TZ-UK forum where he's a regular contributor. From what I've observed of his invoices (included in eBay listings for 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1's), rather more expensive than other UK independent repairers. Often has long waiting lists and consequently sometimes turns work away.
Simon Wilkinson a.k.a. 'Sir Alan' on various watch forums.
Currently Simon has no Instagram feed nor website and relies purely on word of mouth for recommendation.
He was a regular contributor on the old forum and his various 'Inside the 7Axx' threads are still worth reading.
Simon is my own personal choice for servicing 7Axx movements. He's done over
a dozen of mine in the last year.

Steve is an 'old school' fully qualified watchmaker and had done some work for me in the past, but retired in 2020.
He'd formed a partnership with Terry Casey of TCA in 2019 (hence the new website) then started referring all work.

Seiko UK (in Maidenhead)
Evidently they still accept 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1's for servicing, but sometimes cite parts shortages as the reason for declining others. They have been known to service the odd Seiko 7A38 under 'warranty', but that was 10 years ago.

So if I have a watch in need of a movement service, I'll farm it out to someone with more skill and patience than myself (of more anon).
My observation is that he appears to waste far too much time promoting his services on his YouTube channel, when he could have been working on his customers' watches, causing a number of past complaints. Some of his 100's of uploaded videos are frankly nauseating to watch.
