Profiteering US eBay re-seller
flobaca may have deviated from plan in recent months, listing a number of less desirable two-tone and gold-tone 7A38's, but that's purely down to competition from other buyers and his evident unwillingness to pay higher prices for half decent examples. Seems he may finally have found another suitably horrid example to resume business as usual. There's also another possibility pending, so I give you my prediction for one of his future offerings.
This well-worn stainless 7A38-7020, with a smashed crystal and missing its crown / stem, in dire need of some TLC, was listed in the early hours of this morning, by a US eBay seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of $125:

Forgive me readers. With hindsight, I seem to have got that prediction wrong.
Whereas that stainless 7A38-7020 certainly looked like typical 'potential flobaca fodder', I now believe that suitably cheap example was snapped up by another, as yet unidentified, competing buyer. Indeed they may have beaten
flobaca to the punch on two occasions.
In the early hours of this morning,
flobaca listed another re-worked 7A38-7029 - one which I certainly hadn't previously anticipated, as a 7-day auction with an opening bid price of $450.

Obviously I've no idea what the offer accepted may have been. As a rule,
flobaca prefers to pay no more than $250 for these (even when fully functional). As he's had to expend some work on this example, but the opening bid price is 'only' $450, I suspect that's probably the case here too.

I'm going out on a limb here by making another prediction for one of
flobaca's forthcoming warmed over 7A38 offerings. This well-worn 7A38-702A with mis-aligned bezel (incidentally, one of a number of such I've seen recently) was listed by a comparatively inexperienced US eBay seller on Friday 2nd July, as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of $149.

Note the phrase in the seller's description: 'but will need some attention as the the three registers reset, but not to 12 o'clock'. Evidently the seller was blissfully unaware of what a simple two-minute job it is to zero the chrono' hands.
The seller ended the listing 3 days early by accepting an undisclosed (likely lowball) best offer, late yesterday evening:

How's that for a prediction ?
Also an incredibly quick turnaround by profiteering US eBay re-seller
flobaca.
In the early hours of this morning he listed that same well-worn 7A38-702A as a 7-day auction with a typically over-optimistic marked up opening bid price of $275.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEIKO-7A38-C ... 3566940758
No great surprise, given the far too ambitious opening bid price and condition,
flobaca's recent 7-day auction for that well-worn 7A38-702A ended in the early hours of this morning, without any bids placed. He re-listed it a couple of hours later, with the same opening bid price of $275.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEIKO-7A38-C ... 4536081687
Meanwhile, seems he already has another in the pipeline, in better condition. In fact it's a 7A38-702H (rather than 'A').
It was listed earlier this week by a US eBay seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of $199 and the option to make an offer.

Those of you who follow

Compare that with the listing title of the 7A38-7029 he's just bought. It would appear that US eBay seller
gargl71 had unwittingly created his listing by cloning
flobaca's current re-listing, using eBay's 'sell one like this' feature. Ironic ?

His well-worn 7A38-702A had been re-listed a total of 8 times since July. He finally deigned to
reduce the opening bid price (from $275 to $225) for this most recent re-listing, thus also eventually selling in the early hours of this morning.

So, having eventually managed to shift the previous one, late yesterday evening profiteering US eBay seller
flobaca fairly predictably listed his most recently ill-gotten 7A38-7029, as a 7-day auction with an opening bid price of $450.

It sold in the early hours of this morning (while I was in bed, asleep) for an undisclosed best offer:

Not difficult to figure out where he bought this one. It was listed 'For Parts or Repair', as a 7-day auction by another US eBay seller earlier this month, with an opening bid price of $49.99.

Profiteering US eBay re-seller
flobaca's well-worn gold-tone 7A38-7289, fitted with a non-original sweep second hand, failed to attract a bid first time around. He re-listed it as another 7-day auction, with the same opening bid price of $125. Checking my eBay watching page I see that it sold in the early hours of this morning, for $135.50 after 3 bids.

I note with some satisfaction, it appears to be taking profiteering US eBay re-seller
flobaca longer to shift his ill-gotten Seiko 7A38's. He subsequently re-listed that 7A38-7029 four more times as 7-day auctions, before someone placed a bid on the latest re-listing mid-week. It ended in the early hours of this morning, selling for the opening bid price of $450.

Erstwhile regular profiteering US eBay re-seller
flobaca has been extremely quiet of late, especially when you compare his recent activity to that of the greedy 'johnny-come-lately' in
this other thread. I can't remember when I last saw him list a 7A38-7029, but two days ago, he finally broke cover after a long absence and listed a decent looking 7A38-702H, as a 7-day auction, with a typically over-ambitious opening bid price of $350.

It's been a
very long time coming, but this is actually a watch that I predicted he'd be re-selling, higher up the page.
Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 11:10 amMeanwhile, seems he already has another in the pipeline, in better condition. In fact it's a 7A38-702H (rather than 'A').
It was listed earlier this week by a US eBay seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of $199 and the option to make an offer.

Here's a couple of the seller's 7 photos. (Unfortunately, there wasn't a photo of the movement included among them.)
Note the dis-oriented Tachymeter ring, indicating they've probably had the dial / movement out for whatever reason.

zenodass44), who made any offers:

I think that day may finally be coming around again sometime soon.
This well-worn 7A38-7029 was first listed by a US eBay seller
on 19th November last year, as a 10-day auction, with an opening bid price of $300. It failed to attract any bids and was re-listed on 19th December as another 10-day auction, but with a reduced opening bid price of $150 and supposedly sold for $335 after 17 bids.

Note the seller's location of Albuquerque, NM. The original description had read:
- 7A38-7029-Stainless+Grey-eBay-Dec2021-(re-listed)-Description.png (17.49 KiB) Viewed 10954 times
That auction may quite possibly have been shilled, because
the winning bidder had 100% activity with this seller:

It was re-listed 2 days ago, by another US eBay seller, strangely enough also located in Albuquerque, NM, as Buy-it-Now for $225, with the option to make an offer. The listing title was exactly same as before, as were 5 of the 6 photos, but uploaded in a different order, oddly not making best advantage of the previous much better primary image (which I've posted below). However, the revised description was somewhat shorter:
- 7A38-7029-Stainless+Grey-eBay-Jan2022-(re-listed)-Description.png (5.83 KiB) Viewed 10939 times
It sold early this morning for an undisclosed best offer:

The
eBay Purchase History shows an encrypted buyer ID of
d***z, which in all likelihood is
zenodass44,
flobaca's other eBay ID that he uses for buying. Scrolling to the bottom, his two earlier retracted offers hint at possible shenanigans.

Flobaca's first 7-day auction for that 7A38-702H ended without any bids placed, unsold. He re-listed it, initially exactly as before, but then on 14th January
revised the re-listing, cheekily increasing the opening bid price from $350 to $400 - and somehow managed to catch himself a mug punter bidder !!

flobaca is
so eminently predictable !
Yesterday evening he listed that same well-worn 7A38-7029 as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of $500.

Of course, the serial number 442636 matches. I've no idea what he's done to get it running again, but if you look at his photo of the case-back, it's plainly obvious he's made no attempt to clean the accumulated filth from the bracelet.

revised the listing, increasing the opening bid price from $500 to $550.
