In the early hours of this morning, profiteering US eBay re-seller
rtm127, a.k.a. Ryan Marucheau of Watch and Jewelry Exchange, listed yet another ex-Yahoo Japan JDM 7A38 with a typical greedily marked-up asking price of $1000 bucks. This time it's a titanium 7A38-7030 fitted with a non-original replacement Seiko bracelet.

The incorrect bracelet is interesting. In his description, Ryan wrote of it:
Lug/ band size: Watch has an original Seiko titanium bracelet band installed that tapers from 22mm to 16mm near the buckle, sized for a an 8.5 inch wrist, I am not sure if it is original to the watch or not, but I know that it is original Seiko
It certainly isn't the correct original p/n YA22A bracelet. Nor is it the p/n YB21A bracelet normally found on the titanium 7T42-7A10, which is often used as a substitute on 7A38-7030's. It bears a strong resemblance to the p/n YA30A bracelet normally found on the (stainless) 7A48-7050 Fishing Master. But it can't be, because Ryan says it's titanium.
There have been a few 7A38-7030's listed on Yahoo Japan recently. This one was relatively easy to track down - not by its serial number, 3D5871, only just legible in Ryan's rather dark photo, but by dint of that unusual non-original bracelet.
It was listed on Yahoo Japan at the beginning of July as a 6-day auction, with a low start opening bid price of ¥1 Yen.

It was bid to ¥39,080 Yen after 22 bids. Adding the 10% Japanese Sales Tax brings the total to ¥42,988 Yen, which is equivalent to
$297.50 at the prevailing exchange rate - less than a third of this greedy re-seller's asking price.
Incidentally,
his previous 7A38-7030, which is fitted with the correct original p/n YA22A bracelet, that he first listed in April (
see posts higher up this page), with an even greedier asking price of $1500, remains unsold, to no great surprise.
