The same still holds true for MM's unsold hoard of 7A48-7000 / -7009's, but since I wrote that, he has managed to shift a couple more 7Axx's this month. Two 7A28 'divers': a non-running JDM 7A28-7040, fitted with a non-original aftermarket replacement bracelet and a well-worn 7A28-7049.

Both had been re-listed multiple times since November last year, most recently on 18th March. If you've got 2 minutes and fancy a laugh, just try counting the number of revisions made to their Buy-it-Now prices over the last 3 months:

https://www.ebay.com/rvh/175206037038 and https://www.ebay.com/rvh/175206037031

These recent sales leave MM with 5 x 7A28's (including 3 more -704x 'divers') and 5 x 7A38's still unsold. All 10 were last re-listed on 18th March and have gone through multiple price revisions over the last three months. His 7A38's currently range in price from $600 to $1200 (no discount), which is laughable given what they are and poor condition they're in.

Ahem. I thought the description of that JDM 7A28-7040 sounded familiar.

I'd failed to spot that MM had actually managed to sell another of his over-priced 7Axx's earlier on Tuesday morning.

It was a non-working JDM 7A28-7040, fitted with a non-original bracelet and described in his typical lackadaisical lazy manner as: For repair. Not running. Don’t know what’s wrong with it I bought it this way. Top right pusher is stuck.
It sold, not for his 60% discounted 'sale' price (joke) of $320 but for an undisclosed, presumably much lower, best offer.

No excuse for having missed it earlier, other than I don't bother adding many of his items to my eBay watching page. There's already enough over-priced crap on there. When I'd run searches on his Seiko 7A28 listings, it had registered there were a couple of JDM 'head only's amongst them, but I must have somehow overlooked this one.
Seems it had supposedly sold once before, back in January.

Looks like MM already had something in the pipeline to replenish his dwindling inventory of 7A28-704x's. Yesterday he listed this well-worn 7A28-7049 fitted with a rubber 'Rally' strap, initially with a typically ludicrous Buy-it-Now price of $1600, which has supposedly been discounted by 50% to $799.99.

Here's where he bought it, just over a week ago, winning a US 7-day auction for $225.42.

The original seller's photos are quite small and there's no photo of the case-back, but it's clearly the same 7A28-7049.
Besides, all you need do is check the eBay Bidding History. The encrypted winning ID is obviously millauctionhouse.

It's also worth reading the original seller's description:
Rare 1980's Seiko Sports 100 Men's Black Watch - 7A28-7049. New battery and new band, there is a defect on this on the chrono the minute hand stops at the 20 Min mark and the second had stops at the 58 second mark. To fix this it would need to go back to Seiko costing $75.00 to $150.00. Other than what was mentioned it works great.
Incidentally, he'd previously sold it last month for a mere $150.

Seiko7A38 wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 8:09 amOne might have thought he would have learned his lesson by now - that these watches are far too common to be able to create any kind of monopoly. I believe he's purchased at least 3 more 7A48-7000/9 this year: one in February and two in April (all as best offer accepted), although if my assumptions are correct, he still hasn't listed any of them on eBay yet. Indeed, I thought he might have finally given up, but his evident obsession with this 7A48 continues. He bought another cheap 7A48-700X with issues, winning a US eBay auction in the early hours of this morning.

It remains to be seen what he plans to do with it. The real 'gotcher' with this example is that it's missing its case-back (the US eBay seller had used the 7A48-7010 dial part number in his listing title, which is common to both the normal worldwide export 7A48-7000 and US market 7A48-7009). Here's his description:
GOOD DAY FOLKS, UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1980's SEIKO CHRONOGRAPH MOONPHASE WRIST WATCH. IT'S A 7A48-7010T SPORTS 100 MODEL. I INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY AND THE WATCH RUNS AND IS KEEPING TIME ACCURATELY BUT I CAN'T GET ANY OF THE OTHER BUTTONS TO WORK. THE SECONDS HAND MOVES AROUND AS DOES THE HOUR AND MINUTES HANDS BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTIONS TO WORK, IT WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED., THE ONE GLARING PROBLEM IS THE BACK COVER IS MISSING, YOU'LL HAVE TO ORDER ONE FROM SEIKO. THE MOVEMENT LOOKS OK, BUT IT HAS A COUPLE OF SPOTS OF TARNISH. YOU CAN SEE IT'S CONDITION BY MOVING YOUR MOUSE CURSOR OVER THE PICS. IF YOU COLLECT OR REPAIR OLD SEIKO WATCHES, THIS IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR RESTORATION.
Logically, MM could use it to improve or rectify one of his lesser condition non-working / head only examples. But as he appears to be totally incapable of the most basic tasks, including replacing batteries, I somehow doubt it.
This guy's greed, laziness and sheer incompetence never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday evening, MM listed the exact same 7A48-7000 / -7009, without caseback, which he paid $105.50 for, with a typical greedily marked-up Buy-it-Now price of $400 - supposedly discounted by 50% from $800.

His description is rather shorter than the previous sellers:

Has original bracelet. Missing backplate.
Watch is running. Chrono isn’t working. Button doesn’t press.

At first, I thought he'd done absolutely nothing with it (as usual). However, if you compare some of his photos ....

It appears he may have attempted to remove the dial / movement, because now it doesn't sit properly in the watch case anymore. Note the Roman chapter ring is slightly misaligned. The moulded pips on its underside probably aren't engaging the cutouts around the perimeter of the dial plate. That, or he's bent the crown stem.

The full story is on the previous page, but to quickly summarise, MM first listed it in February, asking an absolutely ludicrous Buy-it-Now of $5000, having paid the other US eBay seller he bought it from $525 just over a week earlier.

I wrote this last December, just after meltzertrading had changed their eBay ID to millauctionhouse:
Seiko7A38 wrote: Sun Dec 19, 2021 9:56 amFortunately all of the earlier links I've embedded still work at the time of writing, but just to recap a few more of them: Their current tally of all Seiko watches listed for sale is 66, which includes:

7 x 7A28's, 7 x 7A38's, 11 x 7A48's and 10 x 7T34 Flightmasters (something else they're been surreptitiously buying up).
Indeed, those links still work, but the numbers have changed significantly. The total number of Seiko watches, including the assorted junk case parts is now 150 items, including: 6 x 7A28's, 5 x 7A38's, 19 x 7A48's and 2 x 7T34 Flightmasters.

Unlike his unsold hoard of 7A48's, MM has evidently met with more success re-selling 7T34 Flightmasters over the last six months. I can't honestly say I'd been monitoring them that closely, but another one, newly listed overnight came up in my saved search notifications. It's a 7T34-6A09; a non-runner with some plating wear to the bracelet and significantly missing two sub-dial hands. Given the condition, MM's asking a risible $250 (supposedly discounted by 50% from $500).

The blingy gold-tone 7T34-6A09 SEH010J was a popular US market model, judging by the number that regularly turn up on eBay in the States, many of them selling for sub $100. It wasn't difficult to uncover where MM bought this particular example, winning a 10-day auction a couple of weeks ago for $84.

MM has been noticeably quiet of late. Perhaps it's finally dawned on him that his venture into re-selling Seiko 7Axx's for profit (particularly 7A48's) has met with abject failure. He appears to have stopped buying up more stock (temporarily at least); a number of 7A48-7000 / -7009's have sold cheaply in the States recently and he didn't buy any of them. Last night he went through another of his pointless re-listing exercises (the first time he'd bothered since August). This one included ending and re-listing 18 of his current remaining 132 Seikos, including a 7A28 and two of his nineteen 7A48's.

The searches linked in that quote still hold good, so as the overall number had reduced, I decided to quickly check the individual quantities this morning. Seems he's managed to sell a 7A28 recently, which I hadn't spotted before, because I only have his 7A38's on my eBay watching page. It's a non-working JDM 7A28-701A. I can't remember exactly when he first listed it, presumably late last year, but he last re-listed it on March 18th, when he re-listed all his Seiko 7Axx's.

If you want a laugh, check out the number of revisions to the Buy-it-Now price he made over the last 7 months (another reason not to deal with this devious seller). I lost count scrolling through the list, but it's well over 80 !! :o Note that he also appears to have sold the same watch twice (as he's done before) - once by accepting an offer on 21st March and again on 17th October as a 'special offer'. If you check the eBay Purchase History, you'll also see the considerable number of offers declined or expired between the end of March and July. Truly a seller to be avoided at all costs. 👎

It looks like would-be profiteering US eBay re-seller millauctionhouse has finally managed to find a mug punter buyer for one of his unsold hoard of 7A48's. The listing hasn't actually ended yet, but the item is showing as 'out of stock'.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/175206037078

It's a 7A48-7009 in half decent cosmetic / working condition, case-back serial # 6O3788, which he'd first listed on Christmas Eve last year with an initial typically ludicrous Buy-it-Now price of $1600. It was then re-listed 3 times in quick succession, between 30th and 31st December @ $600 and then last re-listed on 18th March this year @ $640. Although that number is insignificant compared to some of his other re-listings. If you check the item revision history, you'll see MM frigged around with the Buy-it-Now price / discounts on at least 90 occasions over the last 7½ months.

I'm not sure what price it may have actually sold for. The listing is displaying a Buy-it-Now price of $800 (per the last price revision on 11th November), but if you check the eBay Purchase History, it shows it was 'Sold as a special offer'.
The majority of his remaining 7A48-7000 / -7009's are currently priced from around $300 (non-runners) to $480.

I've been keeping tabs on his shenanigans and some of them have now been-re-listed at least half a dozen times since last December. One noticeable difference is that their current (50% discounted) prices now range from $250, for a non-running head only, to $500 for complete examples on the correct original Z1093C bracelet, compared to the absolutely ludicrous $400 to $1500 he was asking in January.
MM's latest gambit was to re-list 5 of his fifteen remaining unsold 7A48-7000 / -7009's again yesterday evening, for the umpteenth time, with their prices now reduced to 'only' $480 (supposedly $800 discounted by 40%). His latest batch of revisions on the other re-listings has aligned their maximum price to $480. That's still more than double the price that anybody in their right mind should ever consider paying for one of these relatively common 7A48 moonphases.

I've continued to maintain that spreadsheet which I started at the end of December, adding in new rows every time MM re-lists them. As he's re-listed most of them at least half a dozen times, some as many as ten times, so the spreadsheet is somewhat longer than it started out. One thing is noticeable though - and that he's coming perilously close to selling some of them at a loss (if he ever does). Serves the little chancer right. Should have stuck to flogging junk jewellery.

MM was active yesterday afternoon through late evening (until almost midnight local time), playing the busy fool once more, by again ending and re-listing his eBay watch listings for the umpteenth time. At a rough count, I reckon he re-cycled just over 160 of them yesterday, including most but not quite all his current 130 Seiko listings. I watched him live, sporadically, for a little while - (until I got bored) and took a few screen prints, before I realized he was going to go through (almost) the whole lot:

So, other than bumping the majority of his raggedy assortment of 7Axx's to the top of the search results, what exactly has MM managed to achieve by this latest exercise ? If you look at the three ended summary listings for 7A48-700x's in my previous post and compare them with the three re-listings that replaced them, you'll see they all have new primary images - either wrist shots or hand held. He appears to have added a couple of new photos to almost all his Seiko 7Axx's yesterday - including those that he didn't relist (for example his tatty 7A38-704B on an incorrect replacement bracelet). Some, like his well-worn two-tone 7A38-7289, which he first listed in November last year haven't exactly benefited by this. It looks even filthier in the new photos. He hasn't given it so much as a wipe in the last year.

It looks like MM may have managed to sell a couple of his ridiculously over-prices 7A48-7000 / -7009's earlier this week.
But first I needed to check their case-back serial numbers. Indeed, if you flick back over the page to this post, you'll see he'd supposedly sold 7A48-7009 s/n 6O3788 once before in March 2022 (and again more recently in November 2022):
Seiko7A38 wrote: Sun Nov 13, 2022 9:03 am It looks like would-be profiteering US eBay re-seller millauctionhouse has finally managed to find a mug punter buyer for one of his unsold hoard of 7A48's. The listing hasn't actually ended yet, but the item is showing as 'out of stock'.

One down, eighteen more to go !
Incredibly, he continued screwing around with the Buy-it-Now price long after he supposedly sold it on November 11th !!

Last Wednesday evening, MM ended another of his long running re-listings for a 7A48-7009 as item no-longer available:

This is case-back s/n 431171, which he first listed on 17th November 2021, with a ludicrous Buy-it-Now price of $1200, which he subsequently re-listed 9 times (all with multiple revisions), for the last occasion on 29th December last year.

I don't know how he manages it, but none of his watch sales ever seems quite straightforward. I strongly suspect it's deliberate obfuscation on his part, to avoid paying eBay fees. If you check the eBay Purchase History for this item, it shows as MM having accepted an undisclosed offer 5 days earlier, on 27th January.

He also appears to have possibly sold a 7A48-7000 on Thursday, although this one is just showing as 'item out of stock', because MM hasn't yet ended the item as no longer available. Presumably he'll get around to it at some point, as he's recently demonstrated with 7A48-7009 s/n 6O3788.

This is 7A48-7000 case-back s/n 762318, a non-runner, which he first listed on 16th December, 2021 and last re-listed on 29th December. My Excel spreadsheet shows some earlier frantic deranged re-listing activity in late December 2021.

By dint of his recent activity, MM's hoard of unsold Seiko 7A48's is now down to 16 !! (less this one out of stock)

Belated Edit: MM finally ended the listing as item no longer available, three weeks later - on February 28th.

It looks like devious profiteering US eBay re-seller millauctionhouse (a.k.a. Marc Meltzer) may have eventually found another mug punter buyer for one of his long term unsold poor condition Seiko 7A38's earlier this week.

The listing hasn't still been ended properly (as is frequently the case with his listings), but instead the item is showing as out of stock and the eBay Purchase History shows an undisclosed offer was accepted on 23rd February.

Remiss of me. Other than a very brief mention here, I don't appear to have mentioned this one before in this thread. It's not actually a 7A38-704A (per the listing title), but a 7A38-704B - and a tatty well-worn example at that, fitted with a non-original stainless replacement bracelet. MM first listed it in November 2021. It's been re-listed a few times; the current re-listing dates from 18th March 2022. If you check the item revision history, it's had multiple Buy-it-Now price changes / discounts applied; the first three photos were added on 29th December 2022. He purchased it from another US eBay seller at the end of October 2021. Unfortunately I don't seem to have recorded the price he paid. Academic anyway, now some mug punter has bought it.

Note the emphasis on the word 'may'. With hindsight and further investigation, I suspect that supposed recent sale may have fallen through. When I looked at the listing last weekend, MM's 7A38-704B (it's not an 'A', per the title) was definitely showing as item out of stock. I didn't think it was worth taking a screen print. Now it looks like this:

Note the quantity (which I've outlined in red). Checking the item revision history again, he increased the quantity on 27th February, effectively making the item available once more. There can't have been two such poor examples !

Apart from his price hiking / false discounting and other nefarious re-listing practices, if you needed another reason NOT to deal with profiteering US re-seller millauctionhouse, then I suggest you may want to check his eBay feedback. His overall rating has recently dropped from 99.5% to 98.9%, by dint of no less than 6 negative feedbacks received this month (which he hasn't managed to clean up yet).

Best I can tell, lately there's been no further movement in millauctionhouse's hoard of over-priced Seiko 7Axx's - either further acquisitions, nor sales or pointless re-listings. That said, the ridiculous price hiking / false discounting carries on ad nauseam. The total number of Seiko watches he's listing, including numerous non-runners, has now fallen to less than 100 (currently 94) items, including: 4 x 7A28's, 4 x 7A38's, 16 x 7A48's and one 7T34 Flightmaster.

His feedback rating as a seller, continues to fall, from 98.9% in March to 98.5%. 8 more negatives received this month.

This morning I ran a check on millauctionhouse's still unsold hoarde of Seiko 7A48's*. Although the listing hasn't been ended properly (as frequently happens with his listings), one item, a non-running 7A48-7009 'head only' is showing out of stock. Checking the purchase history, it looks like it sold for a somewhat reduced Buy-it-Now price of $140 on 17th July.

Checking my spreadsheet, he bought it from another US eBay seller oldtreasurebox on 21st October, 2021, for $121.49 (as a best offer). He first listed it, asking a risible $800, on 16th December 2021 (the height of his greed and stupidity). Subsequent re-listings (10 in total) ranged between $400 and $600. Looks like he finally got his just deserts.

*For some unknown reason, MM's 7A48 listings are no longer coming up in my eBay searches, so here's a quick summary:
