Canadian eBay seller's absurd price for a Yema N8
Re: Canadian eBay seller's absurd price for a Yema N8
Well spotted Jim. That absurdly priced Yema N81W63 ranks right up there - at the very top, as the most ridiculous current asking price for a N8 or for that matter any Seiko or re-branded 7A38 anywhere in the world (not just on eBay).
Not wishing to steal your thunder, in discovering it, I had already written about it, at the beginning of February (before the forum went live). But I posted it in the Non-Seiko re-branded movements section, rather than the eBay section.
See this thread: The Craziest price for a Yema N8 yet !! and my third post down (and partial quote thereof below):

This used Yema N81W63 was listed 3 days ago, by a deluded Canadian eBay seller, with an incredible Buy-it-Now price of $7400 CAD. That's equivalent to £4220 GBP. For the impecunious potential buyer, there's an option to buy it 'on tick' from £200 per month for 24 months (which works out at £4800 !!).

Thanks for posting it all the same, Jim. Although I've had it on my eBay watching page for nearly 6 months, I can't honestly say I'd looked at it since. Your reminder prompted me to click on the original eBay.ca link again this morning.
I just noticed that on 7th July, the deluded Canadian eBay seller had revised their listing, reducing their Buy-it-Now price of $7400 CAD to $6994 CAD. No worries .... it's still #1 in the ranks of gross stupidity.
