Besides arch watch-botcher badingski (Ramoncito Bangit), whose recent handiwork featured in another thread recently, there's another previously prolific Filipino backstreet-botching outfit that have been quiet of late. The owner, whom if memory serves real name is John Dizon, uses three different eBay ID's jfm_watches, restoredwatches and nippontime.
Note the locations shown on their eBay profiles, particularly that of nippontime:
Late last night, they listed this botched well-worn polished turd of a 7A38-702A, fitted with the ubiquitous non-original replacement Seiko p/n Z1357S bracelet, with a ludicrous Buy-It-Now price of $198 US and no option to make an offer. Note the item location of Barcelona, Spain (of more anon).

What can I see (apart from the aforementioned incorrect replacement Seiko p/n Z1357S bracelet) ?
It's a job to know where to start. How about the bezel, which has been stripped of its remaining worn gold plating, in the best watch-botching tradition and polished, leaving only the gold dummy rivets ? It's been erroneously re-fitted 15 degrees out of alignment with corners @ 12 and 6 o'clock, instead of aligned being correctly with the watch case.
The hour and minute hands are completely missing their lume (unless it's transparent 'radium'). The lume on the ends of the hour batons is badly degraded, likely indicating moisture ingress. The once gold Tachymeter ring looks badly faded and the gold 703L dial looks blotchy. If that is the original Seiko crown, it's been so heavily sanded that the milling has almost been obliterated. The undersides of the pusher cups at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock appear to be either badly pitted or have possibly been attacked with pliers. There's some nasty scratching on the underside of the bottom right hand lug and evidence of more on the 12 o'clock lug ends, presumably inflicted during the backstreet watch-botcher's efforts to unscrew the case-back. The case-back has been skimmed in an effort to disguise this.
The good news is that Filipino eBay seller nippontime now appears to have a Spanish forwarding agent, so that if you're stupid enough to buy ridiculously over-priced misrepresented junk like this, you can be disappointed even sooner !!
Horribly botched ex-Filipino 7A38-702A from Spain ??
Re: Horribly botched ex-Filipino 7A38-702A from Spain ??
Incidentally, note the date stamp on those photos - 15/02/2021. It initially gave me that uncanny feeling of Déjà Vu. I wondered briefly if I might have posted about this watch before, but if I had, it probably would have fallen between my last posts on the old Webs-hosted forum and getting up to speed on this one. I wasn't about to wade through the old forum's Heads Up on yet another 7A38 Franken or Yet another 7Axx on an undisclosed non-original bracelet threads in the hope of finding it. Instead, I quickly searched my photo folders and found this remarkably similar polished turd of 7A38-702A, fitted with what appears to be a NOS Seiko p/n Z1357S bracelet from March 2015:
From the angles, style and size of photos, clearly the handiwork of the same Filipino eBay seller / watch botcher.
Just to show you that nothing changes !

I think I've sussed it. I hadn't missed a thing. I've just checked a few of the other botched and polished watches listed earlier today by Filipino eBay seller nippontime that are also shown with an item location of Barcelona, Spain. (There are 190 of them !) The photo date stamps include: 20/02/2021, 26/03/2021 and even as old as 17/07/2020 !
I reckon they shipped them (literally) from the Philippines to Spain by sea freight container, to keep the cost down.
Re: Horribly botched ex-Filipino 7A38-702A from Spain ??
Like many other devious eBay sellers, Filipino watch-botcher nippontime likes to play 'mind games' with his listings.
Earlier this evening, he ended his listing for that pathetic excuse for a 7A38-702A as allegedly no longer available.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234065434636
Needless to say, it was back on eBay again, re-listed just over a minute later, exactly the same as before:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/84-SEIKO-7A3 ... 4067397637 (I really can't be arsed to take another screen print).
Remiss of me, I'd forgotten to post a photo of what a correct unmolested example of a 7A38-702A SAA012J should look like, (for comparison with his piece of misrepresented junk). Here's one of mine, copied over from the WRUW thread.

Perhaps I should have taken a screen print.Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 7:47 pmNeedless to say, it was back on eBay again, re-listed just over a minute later, exactly the same as before:

Scrolling through my eBay watching page this morning, I noticed that the item had since been marked as 'Out of Stock'.

The eBay Purchase History shows that it sold 2 days ago for the $198 Buy-it-Now price to an anonymous mug punter:
Strange though, how the listing hasn't yet been flagged as ENDED.

Checking my eBay watching page, I see that Filipino eBay seller nippontime had ended the re-listing yesterday evening, in the time-honoured fashion. Strange how it wasn't ended properly, when supposedly sold as a Buy-it-Now, 3 days ago.Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 7:47 pm Like many other devious eBay sellers, Filipino watch-botcher nippontime likes to play 'mind games' with his listings.
