That same stainless 7A38-7270, fitted with an incorrect replacement bracelet, (from eBay in June 2021) was listed on the Italian classified site Subito, in the early hours of yesterday morning, with the price now increased to €500 Euros !

The brief description translates as: For sale, all working and original in all its parts (which the bracelet certainly is not).
I'm not 100% sure whether it's the same Italian seller, but the previous eBay location of Arquà Polesine is in the province of Rovigo (per the current Subito listing). Plus 4 of his 5 photos are the same as were used in the eBay listing nearly two years ago, albeit now much reduced in size. The wrist shot (taken driving a BMW) is new.

I may not have written any up in the last 6 months, but there are still just as many 7A38's (and 7Axx's in general) fitted with non-original replacement bracelets being listed on eBay. It does annoy me when I see sellers falsely claiming them to be original. This example of a well-worn 7A38-7180 was listed in the early hours of this morning by a US eBay seller. They're actually asking $350, rather than $420 shown on my screen print. That's eBay automatically adding the 20% VAT. Either way it's still too expensive.

These two photos clearly show that it's not the original bracelet, which is fitted with a 7-hole adjustment SQ clasp. It's also missing one of the gold plated ornaments from the 6 o'clock side.

Here's another example in a similar vein. This gold-tone 7A38-7190, fitted with an incorrect replacement Seiko bracelet was listed yesterday evening by a dishonest US eBay seller. The ridiculous $600 Buy-it-Now price should be enough of a deterrent to even the most foolhardy mug punter. But you never know, so I thought I should post a salutary warning.

The Seiko p/n B1004G bracelet incorrectly fitted is normally found on the 8123-7000 day/date quartz. As a comparison, here's the correct Seiko p/n B1405G bracelet, fitted to my gold-tone 7A38-7190 SAA056J:

I suspect this gold-tone 7A38-7270 fitted with a non-original replacement Seiko bracelet will probably catch an unwary punter. It was listed yesterday evening by a US eBay seller, gustosportland, with a moderate Buy-it-Now price of $200.

The bracelet is a Seiko p/n B1346G, normally found on the gold-tone H461-5000 / -5009 Ana-Digi. The watch itself was previously listed by another US eBay seller as a 'head only' in the first week of March. Note the case-back serial number 850406 included in their listing title. Presumably the current re-seller persuaded them to end the listing as no longer available, although the purchase history shows it had sold a week earlier for $60.

This 7A38-7010, listed yesterday evening by a dishonest Italian seller, as a 7-day auction with an opening bid of €299 Euros, is likely to catch out an unwary punter. The bracelet may be fitted with a 7-hole SQ clasp and bear an uncanny resemblance to the correct Seiko p/n Z1118S, but as can be seen from the stampings in the photo of the case-back, it's actually a Seiko p/n G1031S, normally found on the D409-5000 Digital (Data Bank Silverwave).

This stainless 7A38-7000 was listed earlier this morning, by a dishonest UK eBay seller doominated, who claims that the watch is in immaculate condition and all original. You don't have to study the photos too closely to see neither is true. The price he's asking of £495 is laughable for an example in this condition, particularly fitted with the wrong bracelet.

At first glance, to the uncritical eye, the bracelet may look very similar to the correct original item, apart from missing the black painted inlays. But checking the seller's photo of the case-back, shows the bracelet is stamped B1073, making it a Seiko p/n B1073S, normally found on a 7A28-703A. Here's what the correct Seiko p/n B1170S bracelet looks like:
