I note with contempt that profiteering Cypriot eBay re-seller hattori_cy has returned to the fray after a long absence. Readers may recall my earlier posts about his unethical re-selling activities on the old forum, such as in this thread:
At lunchtime today, he listed three 7A38's, all typically speculatively over-priced in his typical 'white gloved' manner.
I sniggered to myself at his pathetic resorting to 'James Bond' keyword spamming to promote his 7A38-706A listing.

Yes, admittedly I've had a couple of issues discerning dark blue dials from black on Racer J39's recently, but I think his colouring of the 7A38-706A's intensely dark blue dial; one of the model's major selling points, 'BLACK' is a step too far.

Re: Profiteering Cypriot eBay re-seller hattori_cy returns
As he's been inactive as a re-seller for almost a year and with these being relatively common 7A38 model variants, it won't be an easy task to track back to find when, from whom he purchased them and how much he paid the original seller. Especially as he partially obscures the case-back serial numbers in his listings. So I don't intend to waste too much time digging. That said, the first one I quickly looked at has proven remarkably easy: his stainless 7A38-7270.

Note the partially obscured 83xxxx prefix case-back serial number. He purchased this same stainless 7A38-7270 back in July 2020 from German eBay seller henzz1337 (a.k.a. forum member Finn).
Can't quite make out the full serial number from Finn's photo of the case-back, but it looks very much like 830829.
According to the tell-tale feedback that he left Finn, Spyros paid less than 245 Euros (actually €220), as a best offer.

Re: Profiteering Cypriot eBay re-seller hattori_cy returns
His over-priced 7A38-7010, fitted with a non-original replacement bracelet wasn't exactly difficult to track down either, because it came from the same source - purchased from German eBay seller henzz1337, end of December last year.

Although this devious greedy profiteering re-seller claims the watch is 100% Original, it's clearly not. Zoom in on his last two photos and you'll see that the bracelet end tubes are stamped B1688.E, which identifies this bracelet as the similar appearing Seiko p/n B1688S, rather than correct p/n Z1118S. Note the partially obscured 3Nxxxx serial number.
Here's a few of Finn's rather more honest unretouched photos from his December 2020 eBay listing for the same watch:
In his photo of the case-back, you can read the bracelet p/n B1688.E stampings more clearly. Oh and the full case-back serial number is 3N3178. How can I be so certain of this ? Again the one-sided feedback (left for him) gives it away. I'm unable to disclose my source, but I have it on very good authority that he paid the German eBay seller 255 Euros.
If only he'd typed one more asterisk that could read sshole !

Checking my eBay watching page, I see that devious profiteering Cypriot eBay re-seller hattori_cy eventually found a mug punter buyer for that 7A38-7010, fitted with a non-original bracelet, this afternoon. All it ever takes is one.
