Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
There has been a surfeit of 7A38-702H's on eBay in the States in December. I've seen at least 5 examples listed. So even though he still has two examples unsold, it was to be expected that flobaca would grab some of the action, to maintain his stock in trade. He won this US eBay 7-day auction last night, sniping it in the closing seconds, as usual, for $152.50.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
After umpteen re-listings, flobaca's two-tone 7A38-7270 eventually sold yesterday evening for the reduced opening bid price of $200. So less than $50 bucks profit on the $152.50 he paid for it.Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:51 am As I predicted in my previous post, profiteering US eBay re-seller flobaca listed that average worn two-tone 7A38-7270 overnight as a 7-day auction with a typically unrealistic opening bid price of $275.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
At the risk of repeating my penultimate post, at the top of this page (he still has the same two 7A38-702H's unsold), I suspect flobaca has just bought yet another one for his stock in trade. This partially working example sold in the early hours of this morning for a Buy-it-Now / Best Offer price of $107.50.

I can't be 100% certain that it was him, from the encrypted user ID, but it looks like his typical lowballing style.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
After 3 more re-listings and a further reduction to $550, flobaca's stainless 7A38-7020 eventually sold yesterday evening for a best offer of $525.Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 9:33 am I really don't know why he bothers to try it on.Once again, devious US eBay re-seller flobaca has seen fit to replace that gold-tone crown on his stainless 7A38-7020 with the correct one. He re-listed it in the early hours of this morning, with a fresh set of photos and a slightly reduced opening bid price of $625.

After 7 months and umpteen re-listings, flobaca's 7A38-7000, fitted with a non-original generic replacement bracelet, finally sold in the early hours of this morning for a best offer - presumably less than the $330 asking price.Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 9:25 am Yesterday afternoon, profiteering US eBay re-seller flobaca listed a stainless 7A38-7000, fitted with a non-original generic replacement bracelet, as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of $350.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
After nearly 4 months and umpteen re-listings, flobaca's 7A38-6109, fitted with a non-original generic 'President' style replacement bracelet, eventually sold yesterday for a best offer, presumably less than the reduced $200 asking price. (He had previously re-listed it with a slightly lower opening bid price of $180 and even then it didn't sell.)Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:55 amHe listed another 7A38 a few minutes later - a 7A38-6109 'Diver', fitted with a non-original replacement 'President' style bracelet. Again, a 7-day auction listing, with a risibly over-optimistic opening bid price of $325.

Earlier this afternoon, profiteering US eBay re-seller flobaca listed yet another stainless 7A38-7020 as a 7-day auction with an opening bid price of $650 and the option to make an offer.

Once again, I've so far been unable to uncover where he bought this example. One should bear in mind his predilection for paying less than $225 for his stock in trade. This one looks a decent example and given the seemingly insatiable demand, I'm sure will sell quickly, to some mug punter, assuring him of another fat profit for very little effort.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
More or less as expected, flobaca's most recent stainless 7A38-7020 sold relatively quickly (compared to most of his other offerings). It went for a reduced opening bid price of $600, yesterday afternoon, after only one re-listing.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
Having re-listed them countless times (since September and October last year), flobaca's two 7A38-702H's eventually sold this afternoon for best offers; considerably less than the laughable $525 and $550 he was originally asking for them.

Re: Profiteering US eBay re-seller Flobaca strikes again !
Of course flobaca already had another one ready and prepared - 'waiting in the wings', so to speak. Yesterday evening he listed yet another 7A38-702H in average worn condition. As usual it's a 7-day auction listing, but this time with an unmolested bezel and a lower more tempting (notice I didn't say 'realistic') opening bid price of $325.

This is another one I had predicted earlier, which he won in a US eBay auction at the end of December last year for $152.50. See my post at the top of this page. Naturally the case-back serial number matches.
