Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
It looks as if MM may have finally found a mug punter buyer for one of his unsold 7A38's. He first listed this well-worn gold-tone 7A38-7289 on 5th November 2021, with an utterly ridiculous Buy-it-Now price of $500 (item # 185146783894). The current re-listing has run since 29th December 2022, but with multiple revisions - including a final reduction in the Buy-it-Now price to $200 on the 24th August. According to the eBay Purchase History, it sold for an undisclosed best offer. Typically, although the listing hasn't been ended properly, it was updated yesterday as item out of stock.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Looks like I previously omitted to write an update on this other 7A38-7289 of his, last month. Very remiss of me.
I had it on my eBay watching page, but hadn't noticed that he'd updated the listing as item out of stock:

The eBay Purchase History reveals it sold for a reduced Buy-it-Now price of $160 on 16th July.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Seems I need to check these more regularly. Just clicking on the above eBay links, this morning, it looks as if MM has managed to find a mug punter buyer for another of his unsold hoard of 7A48's earlier this month. Currently there's no pseudo discount applied, so all the watches which were priced @ $480 are back to $600, including this one, third from bottom on my list, which is now showing as item out of stock:Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:03 am*For some unknown reason, MM's 7A48 listings are no longer coming up in my eBay searches, so here's a quick summary:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/175589307001 7A48-700x no case-back, asking 240.
All prices shown currently have 20% pseudo discount applied. I've excluded the listings showing 'out of stock'.

Checking the eBay Purchase History shows an undisclosed best offer was accepted on 8th August. Interestingly, higher up that screen, the Buy-it-Now price shows as $408 (not $480), so your guess as to what the buyer paid is as good as mine.
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Devious profiteering US eBay re-seller millauctionhouse (a.k.a Marc Meltzer) may have managed to sell another of his unsold horde of 7A48's - a rough-ish example of the JDM 7A48-7000, fitted with an incorrect replacement bracelet. However, this time, instead of marking the item 'out of stock', as he usually does, he's ended the listing as item no longer available, so there's no eBay purchase history, to check if offers were made.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-7a48 ... 5752882727
That particular re-listing had run since 27th January 2023. Prior to that it was first listed on eBay in December 2021, with a typically ludicrous Buy-it-Now price of $1200 and had been re-listed eight times since, at prices ranging between $1000 and $480. MM paid a Japanese eBay seller (menswatchesinjapanonline) a laughably naive $454.99 for it in October 2021. So it's highly unlikely he made a profit on that one !
Interesting to note that the item location on this watch (and all his other jewellery and watches) now reads Cherry Hill, New Jersey instead of Phoenix, Arizona. Looks like he's gone back home to Mummy.

Well, if there was a clandestine offer made, it looks like it has fallen through. That dog-eared JDM 7A48-7000, fitted with an incorrect replacement bracelet, is back on eBay, re-listed by MM in the early hours of this morning.

The description is nothing short of a clear admission of the would-be re-sellers' complete and utter incompetence:
Browsing ended listings on eBay.com, it looks like MM finally found a mug punter buyer for one of his 7A38-7080 Head Only's. It sold yesterday for $187.50 - somewhat less than the ridiculous $600 he was asking back in December 2021.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
A little over two years since I started this thread, documenting the devious antics of Marc Meltzer, his Mill Auction House eBay empire seems to be spiralling into meltdown. Whereas most folks would have been celebrating bringing in the New Year, he appears to have been trying to clean up some the mess. This morning I looked at a search on ended items for Seiko 7A38 and these three, which have already appeared higher up this page, as theoretically having been sold, were near the top of the result. Note their selling prices have been amended to only $1, possibly to avoid paying eBay fees.
If you check the listings, all 3 have now been finally ended as No Longer Available as of 31st December 2023 @ 12:19.
That prompted me to check his 7A48's, which admittedly I hadn't done for a while. He appears to have sold a couple more in December, which I hadn't spotted previously, and similarly ended the other three as No Longer Available.
Two of them show as having been ended as No Longer Available on 31st December 2023 @ 12:19, same as the 7A38's, the other three 7A48's followed @ 12:32, 12:59 and 1:42 pm.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Whereas Marc Meltzer may appear to be trying to clean up his act, at least with regard to the state of his watch listings, his feedback rating continues to deteriorate. It's now dropped to 92.1% ! Indeed, during December, he received twice as many negative feedbacks as he did positive (21 versus 10, plus a Neutral). See summary below:
Oddly when I first checked, amusingly, the only feedback showing was the positive he'd received for selling that ratty two-tone 7A38-7289 in July. When I switched to the ALL received feedback tab and refreshed the screen, I found this:
It makes you wonder why eBay hasn't banned him already.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Perhaps MM is preparing for the inevitable. I thought I'd do a quick update on the status of his remaining unsold Seiko 7A's. Evidently he was very busy yesterday evening !! Apart from the three 7A38 and five 7A48 re-listings above, he has ended (without re-listing, at the time of writing), not only all his Seiko listings, but all 3500 - 4000 of his listings !! All that now remain are 10 re-listings for various pin badges, bangles, postcards and one cheap ladies quartz watch.
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
I thought I'd do a quick tidy up myself, by deleting his ended listings off my eBay watching page. I'd been watching all his Seiko 7A28, 7A38 and 7A48 listings (even those which were showing out of stock). His NOS 7A48-7010, which he'd previously last re-listed at the end of June 2022, was still the most expensive @ $750, half the $1500 he'd previously been asking (and then some, see quote below).
Note the time he ended this particular listing - 8:18 pm - some 8 hours after he ended the three 7A38's !Seiko7A38 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 04, 2022 1:00 pm It's not as if more examples were really needed, but just to show what a complete and utter chancer Marc Meltzer is.
Yesterday, he once again spent some time frigging around with the prices of his various Seiko watches, including making a number of revisions to that listing for the NOS 7A48-7010. The (undiscounted) Buy-it-Now price is now down to $1500 - compared to the outrageous $5000 he initially listed it for, just over three weeks ago.
Something else I noticed in that listing (also reflected in his 10 current remaining listings) is that the item location has changed again to San Diego, California. Perhaps he's contemplating 'doing a runner'.
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
The meltdown of Marc Meltzer's millauctionhouse eBay account continues. More negative feedbacks have been left and his overall rating has now dropped to 90.7%. Interestingly, the latest negative feedback was left by the buyer of that non-working 7A38-7080 head only, which he sold on 14th November last year. See my posts higher up this page.
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Surprisingly, MM has actually received a few positive feedbacks over the last couple of weeks, but that hasn't prevented his overall eBay feedback rating falling to 84.7%. Although he hasn't been banned, he appears to have abandoned his eBay account. Nothing new has been listed (or re-listed) since 31st December last year and all that still remain are the 10 unsold assorted items which he omitted to delete, mentioned in an earlier post.
His Etsy account, which he was at one time running in parallel with eBay, appears to have been dormant for two years:
So where's he gone ? Looks like he might be using the old fallback platform where he started out selling - Poshmark.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
He's currently listing a total of 1975 items on Poshmark. It's predominantly the usual cheap junk jewellery, but there are also 60 plus Seiko watches, including 4 x 7A28-7040/9's; one 7A38-7080 (Head Only) and a total of 12 X 7A48's: there are the two 7A48-7010's (one NOS) and ten 7A38-7000/9's. Quickly checking, these had all previously gone unsold on eBay.
Typically, all have various pseudo discounts applied, but are still laughably over-priced for their conditions.

I guess the final outcome was inevitable: https://www.ebay.com/usr/millauctionhouse - no longer a registered user.
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
At the time I wrote that, two months ago, that was certainly the case - per the above screenshot. However, since I last checked on him, Marc Meltzer has also resurrected his Etsy account: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MillAuctionHouseSeiko7A38 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 11:48 amHis Etsy account, which he was at one time running in parallel with eBay, appears to have been dormant for two years:

The prices are different from what he'd originally listed them on Poshmark; some higher, some lower, but all laughably over-priced just the same. He doesn't appear to have had any success (at all) selling on Poshmark, hence probably the reason he's now trying Etsy again. However, judging by his one-star feedback rating and the two critical reviews that have been left him this year, I suspect he may have difficulty finding the number of mug punters he did before - if any.

His Poshmark closet page, linked above is now 404 Not Found.
Seems he's changed the account name to Marc's Cool Stuff: https://poshmark.com/closet/marcscoolstuff
The total number of items listed has dropped from 1975 to 1433, so presumably he's managed to sell about 500 items of junk jewellery, etc.. Not surprisingly, given their asking prices, there doesn't seem to have been much movement in his Seiko watches. He's still listing 3 x 7A28's, the single 7A38-7080 Head Only and 11 7A48's (so he's actually sold one).
Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
Devious self-styled 'entrepreneur' Marc Meltzer is back on eBay again, less than six months after his primary eBay ID millauctionhouse (formerly Meltzer Trading) with a feedback of over 13,000, was banned for multiple infringements.
I can't say I'm surprised to see him return, given his limited success offloading his remaining stock on other platforms such as Etsy and Poshmark. Incidentally, I forgot to mention he also has a Shopify based website: Marcscoolstuff.com
He's using the same new eBay handle as on Poshmark and his website - marcscoolstuff, which is what gave him away.
This isn't a new ID that he's just created. It has previously existed (under another name) since September 2021. Looking at the feedback - (43) of which only 3 are within the last 12 months, he previously used it for buying his junk jewellery stock in trade. The small purple symbol, next to the feedback number, shows that the account name has been changed within the last 30 days, but unfortunately eBay no longer allows access to ID history, so I can't tell what it was before.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
At the moment, it looks as if he's planning to use it to sell off his remaining stock in trade. Currently he has only listed a total of 6 items (but they're all job lots). The first one I spotted, yesterday evening, was a job lot of three Seiko 7Axx's:
a 7A28-7049 on a rubber strap, the 7A38-7080 head only and a working 7A48-7000 on the correct original bracelet.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/286052911197
The primary image looks like a poorly executed collage, but the other 3 images are taken from his previous listings.
His Buy-it-Now price is a typically ludicrous $1200, which is at least double what this lot of 3 watches are realistically worth. Perhaps he intends to start doing his pseudo discounting scam again. Having said that, I just looked at the listing again, to see that I've been sent an unsolicited offer of $960. Frankly I wouldn't buy from him at any price.
The second listing I saw yesterday evening was for two of his 11 remaining 7A48's. They're both non-working 7A48-7000's in well-worn condition; one is a head only, the other fitted with a non-original replacement bracelet. Buy-it-Now asking price for this pair is a laughable $300.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/286052915694
Bearing in mind, he once had thousands of eBay listings, I woke up this morning, half expecting to find he'd created dozens more overnight. That wasn't the case, currently he has only a total of six items listed. Instead of listing all his junk jewellery separately, as before, he's lumped all the rings, charms, necklaces and bracelets together and listed it as 1.5 Kgs of Sterling Silver, with an asking price of $3000 for the lot. The current spot price of scrap silver is $0.95 per gram, so once again, he's asking more than double what it's realistically worth.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/286053478524
Presumably the rest of his unsold Seiko watches will follow in due course. I shall be watching with interest, to see if he dares repeat his earlier shenanigans. Remember Marc (I know you're reading this) - eBay customer service is just a phone call away and I have an old friend who works in their Trust & Safety department.
