How much for a Yema N8 Flygraf parts watch ??

I probably ought to be writing this up in the eBay section's
'Bottom of the 7Axx Barrel' thread, but given the ridiculous price being asked for what's in effect, nothing more than a parts watch, it warrants its own topic. This Yema N8 Flygraf head only, missing the all important rotating 'slide rule' bezel, was listed yesterday afternoon by a UK eBay seller, as a 7-day auction with an opening bid price of
£308 !!

I've only bothered uploading 3 of the seller's 10 photos, but the shot of the movement (there are three others besides) should be sufficient for anyone not blind or stupid, to determine this watch definitely won't run if a battery was fitted. Despite his pleading both ignorance and innocence, I'm quite sure the seller has already tried that himself. The watch has suffered a serious battery leak in the area of the PCB's negative terminal. Without seeing what may lurk under the anti-magnetic backplate, I can guarantee it won't be a pretty sight and that area of the PCB will be toast. As far as the missing bezel is concerned, if anybody knows the part number, or where it's possible to order one from, please share that information with me, because I've been looking for one for over 10 years, without success !
PS - I wondered if in listing this watch, the seller had made a mistake, setting the decimal point in his price. So I've submitted an offer for £30.80.
If anybody else reading this does the same, he may get the message eventually.

I note with amusement that deluded UK eBay seller
giusfid_45 has
revised his listing earlier this afternoon, deigning to reduce his original ludicrous opening bid price from £308, to a marginally less ridiculous £290 !!

Not surprisingly, despite
a further reduction of £30 to £260, that Yema N8 Flygraf head only parts watch went unsold.

The deluded UK eBay seller, who is either a complete chancer, or has absolutely no idea of its real market value (and limited appeal) re-listed it almost immediately as another 7-day auction, with the same opening bid price of £260.

He subsequently
revised that re-listing, reducing the Buy-it-Now price three times, from £260 down to £200:

Still (not surprisingly) to no avail ....

Can't say I'd been following the antics of deluded UK eBay seller
giusfid_45 closely, other than having added his latest re-listing to my eBay watching page. Scrolling through it this morning, I just noticed he'd
revised it three days ago, on 29th September - increasing the opening bid price to
£375 !!

I haven't bothered posting an update for 3 weeks, but the deluded UK eBay seller
giusfid_45 has stubbornly continued to re-list his ridiculously over-priced Yema N8 Flygraf parts watch every 5 days. In the last fortnight, he's finally begun to make some progress in the right direction, by gradually reducing the opening bid price.

He made a
second revision to that re-listing just over 24 hours later, further reducing the opening bid price to £199.

The current 5-day auction re-listing is due to end later this afternoon. He's made
3 revisions to the opening bid price.

I missed taking a screen grab yesterday afternoon, when he briefly further reduced the opening bid price to £175, for less than 4 hours duration, before he revised it, for a third time, to the current, still completely unrealistic £160.

The festering Flygraf farce continues unabated, seemingly ad nauseam. Late yesterday evening, deluded would-be UK eBay seller
giusfid_45 arbitrarily 'reduced' the opening bid of his latest 7-day re-listing by £70, back down to £215.

Despite his pleading both ignorance and innocence, I'm quite sure the seller has already tried that himself. The watch has suffered a serious battery leak in the area of the PCB's negative terminal.
In a slightly strange move, which might be construed as a 'damage limitation exercise',
the other revision that he made the previous day, was to remove a couple of his original photos of the battery acid ravaged Shimauchi V906 movement, including the one I'd uploaded in my first post - and also this one, which oddly included a glimpse of a rotating bezel and retaining spring (from another unidentified watch).

This one currently remains. Although 'upside down' and slightly out of focus, it should still provide sufficient deterrent.

Belated Edit: To his credit (perhaps that's the wrong word), deluded UK eBay seller
giusfid_45 continued to make steps (if not strides) in the right direction,
further reducing the ridiculous opening bid price of that re-listing another 3 times:

The most recent and hopefully what will turn out to be the final eBay re-listing, appeared a week ago as another 7-day auction with the same opening bid price of £125.

Initially deluded eBay seller
giusfid_45 appeared reluctant to drop his price any further, from what was the lowest he’d gone so far, but after 3 days he relented and knocked a Tenner off.
Further revisions followed.
- Yema-N8-Flygraf-HeadOnly-eBay-Oct2021-AndYetAnother-Final-Revisions.png (30.01 KiB) Viewed 7905 times
His last revisions were another reduction in the opening bid price to £100, which he partially offset by increasing the postage charge from £4.20 to £10 (but still for just an ‘Economy Delivery’ service). Talk about grasping at straws.
Yesterday evening, someone placed a bid @ £100, thereby preventing any further revisions. That’s how the auction ended a few moments ago, with the festering Flygraf finally selling for the reduced opening bid price. (The winning bidder placed two bids - the second as a 'safety bid' in the final three minutes.)

- Yema-N8-Flygraf-HeadOnly-eBay-Oct2021-(re-listed)-Ended-Sold-100.png (45.95 KiB) Viewed 7905 times
To summarize: during the last 2 months and over the course of 11 listings and re-listings, to which this hapless chancer made countless revisions, mostly to their opening bid prices, he used a total of
19 different prices, ranging from the ludicrous maximum of £375 (three times) to the £100 it eventually sold for. If I ever have the misfortune to document another similar fiasco, with hindsight it would probably have been easier to plot the price fluctuations in a graph.

Well....
I was that bidder.
I somehow knew he wasn't going to go lower than that but fair to say seeing the pics the case was in good decent state, the dial was OK and hands were well possible to relume. So when I felt the bidding price was reasonable for a parts watch I pulled the trigger.
I should mention I had another case at home that had the bezel and bezel Insert so I knew exactly what I was getting. (a good case and some extra spares.) turned out the movement was toast, but I did a full swap with a spare movement I have.
The rest was reasonable enough and with the extra stuff I had I made a fully working one. Which I then send off to my good friend who always wanted a flygraf.
