Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
A light grey dial to match the colour of the sky. It's been drizzling all morning, so please excuse the odd tiny raindrop.
Wearing my 7A38-7240 SAA108J. Just noticed it's doing the two-second two-step. Another battery replacement beckons.

Re: How much for a used bracelet adjustment link ???
We have a new entrant in the bracelet link greed and stupidity stakes, though he's actually been around for decades. Yesterday afternoon, US eBay seller vanman2usa listed two well used B1074S bracelet adjustment links with a ludicrous Buy-it-Now price of $195. :o https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm//S...

Wearing this dressy little two-tone 7A38-6080 SAA088J this morning.
Incidentally, this German market model featured in a Seiko advertising campaign for the UEFA Euro 88 championships.

Re: Rookie of the Year award for Greed and Stupidity ....
MM must be getting desperate to shift some of his Seiko watch inventory . He's recently done a few 'hatchet jobs' on the pricing of some of them, prior to applying this latest 25% discount. Remember that worn-out two-tone 7A38-7020, which I started this thread with , that he originally listed...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Last but not least, my very first Yema N8 Flygraf, which I purchased off eBay France in December 2009 for €180 Euros. This one holds the dubious distinction of previously belonging to the ex-President of Yema (Maison Horlogère Française 1948) - Louis-Eric Beckensteiner. Not the best of examples, it ...

Re: Horrid example of stripped gold plating - misrepresented !
Checking my eBay watching page, I see that horrendous mis-represented polished turd, which was once a two-tone 7A38-7280, appears to have sold once again, yesterday afternoon, for an undisclosed best offer. I wonder if it will actually stay sold this time. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275319966...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
This is my 9th (and last) Yema N8 Flygraf and a definite case of me really not needing another one. It's not the best, but when I bought it back in August 2019, I considered it comparatively cheap @ $250 and never could resist a bargain. By an amusing coincidence, today is exactly 1000 days s...

The second one, although much lower priced (by his standards) @ £245 is an even bigger joke. 7A38-7280-Gold-CreamFace-eBay-May2022-Re-seller-(hollizaak007)-Another-Listing.jpg rsz_7a38-7280-gold-creamface-ebay-may2022-re-seller-another-1.jpg 7A38-7280-Gold-CreamFace-eBay-May2022-Re-seller-(ho...

Re: Yet another profiteering (UK) eBay seller to avoid !!
He may have got lucky with that stainless 7A38-727A, but profiteering UK eBay re-seller hollizaak007 clearly has much to learn about the comparative values of less popular Seiko 7A38's. Earlier this evening he listed this only average worn condition gold-tone 7A38-7289, with what appears to have be...

At the risk of repeating myself .... It briefly seemed that horrendous mis-represented polished turd, which was once a two-tone 7A38-7280, might finally have sold in the early hours of this morning (this time for the full €490 Euros Buy-it-Now price). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seiko-7A38-7280-Vinta...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Two more Yema N8 Flygrafs from my collection. These were the 7th and 8th examples I acquired in 2018 and 2019. Both are effectively NOS, because they've hardly ever been worn. They originated from the stash uncovered by US eBay seller watchaddict412 in early 2018, though neither were purchased direc...

Re: Yet another profiteering (UK) eBay seller to avoid !!
Apart from three 7A38's he'd omitted to leave feedback for earlier, he also left identical positive feedbacks against a stainless 7A38-7130 and two-tone 7A48-6000, which he'd bought from the German seller a week or two later, both for undisclosed best offers. I'd already spotted them (from my eBay ...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Not every watch in my collection is in pristine condition. This also applies to my Yema Spationaute III's and N8 Flygrafs. Sometimes they're let down by a slightly scuffed (hesalite) crystal, which isn't really bad enough to warrant replacing. As is the case with this, the 5th in my collection, purc...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Ditto yesterday. Another Yema N8 Flygraf. :P I do remember when I last wore this particular example, because I posted it here in the WRUW thread back in July 2021. Still recognisable by the missing tip of the L.H. wing of the Flygraf logo. This was my fourth example, purchased on my behalf at the en...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing another different Yema N8 Flygraf today. I've realized they're not getting enough wrist time, so I'm going to try wearing a different one each day of this week. Best I can remember, the last time I wore this one was nearly two years ago, when I replaced its battery in July 2020. I purchased ...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Wearing this mint-ish Yema N8 Flygraf this morning. I can't remember the last time I wore this particular example. When I picked it up, the date was showing (MON) 23, before I corrected it, so I guess it's been quite a while. I recognise this watch, by the tiny nick in the bezel's compass sca...

Re: The ONE and ONLY WRUW thread - Part Deux !
Today I'm wearing this Yema Spationaute III 'beater' (with the minimal printing dial), fitted with a Graf 'Echt Haifisch' shark strap that has seen better days. Still haven't replaced that scratched crystal yet, either.

Re: Yema Spationaute III Aragatz - Addenda et Errata
I've no idea how many pages of Marie-Pia's book are dedicated to the Yema Spationaute III, or for that matter, the Seiko C.G.H. 'quartz' era. Hommega also included this photo of the text from another page in his post:
