This Yema N80P896 'Pseudo Plongeur' was listed this morning by an Italian eBay seller, with a 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of 199 Euros and currently no option to make an offer. The seller claims it to be 'NOS' and 'New watch, never worn'. That's clearly not true. Cattivo Michele.

To start with, the triangular lume inlay is missing from the bezel. Both the  and '15' quarter markers are missing their pins and the others show wear to their gold plated heads. The hour and minute hands are aftermarket replacements. Correct original style hands are lumed gold plated 'stick' with rounded ends (see my photo below). I'd suspect that the dial's hour batons have been re-lumed to match the replacement hands. Their colour is too white. Normally dial and hands lume on this model has a light green tint. The leather strap fitted is not an original Yema strap either. Lastly, it may have a discoloured case-back protection sticker in place, but I've never seen one quite like that on any Yema N8.

Just checking my eBay watching page and noticed this definitely NOT NOS Yema N80P896 'Pseudo Plonguer' had sold this morning for the 199 Euros Buy-it-Now price. Which if nothing else demonstrates that I'm probably wasting my time posting these salutary warnings.

As shown by the eBay Purchase History, the buyer wasn't exactly a 'newbie' either.

Following hot on the heels of the previous example, listed yesterday evening (see my last post at bottom of the previous page), a French eBay seller listed another Yema Spationaute III 38mm 'reduced' model # N80A696 this lunchtime, as a 10-day auction, with a wishful and highly improbable opening bid price of 459 Euros.

This example is in better cosmetic condition than the other one listed, but apart from being over-priced, it's suffering from a recalcitrant sweep second hand. It comes fitted with a non-original burgundy shark strap and an optional two-tone bracelet. As the latter is shown fitted with spring bars, it might point to the original Yema pin and tube fixings having been discarded. Incidentally, in case the padded geometric backgrounds of the photos look vaguely familiar, this is the same French eBay seller navycaptain56, who is also currently listing a full size 43mm Yema Spationaute III (the one with the missing pusher - see lower down the previous page).

I sell a vintage chrono watch Yema spationaute III, white and gold model, the smaller of the two Spationaute III, in very good condition.

Attention although working normally for time and chrono function, since the replacement of the battery, the central second hand no longer works, it vibrates slightly on the spot, as if something was blocking it, probably to revise then.

Other times work normally.

It is delivered mounted on a new burgundy shark leather strap, and a second two-tone steel one, in an original Yema box.

It can be sent worldwide for 27,1

Yet another Yema Spationaute III was listed yesterday evening, by another French eBay seller, as a 3-day auction listing, with a possibly over-optimistic opening bid price of 300 Euros, or the option to make an offer. It appears to be in decent used condition, certainly better than the other two recently listed 43mm examples, fitted with non-original stainless bracelets, documented on the previous page. It may even still be fitted with its original Yema shark strap, but if that's the case, it's seen better days - as the seller correctly states.

This well worn Yema Spationaute III, fitted with a non-original generic stainless bracelet, was listed early this morning by a French eBay seller, as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of 1 Euro. The bezel is missing all its dark blue painted and white (lume?) inlays. Whereas it's not uncommon to lose the odd flake or two, if the bezel has received a knock, someone has obviously gone to the trouble of scraping out all traces of it. Easy enough to repaint, using Humbrol enamel and a small paintbrush - I've done a couple. Not so easy to repair the deep slipped tool mark damage to the case-back, inflicted by some clumsy ham-fisted botcher. :(

The above quoted 7-day French eBay auction, for a well-worn Yema Spationaute III, stripped of its bezel inlay paint and fitted with a non-original generic stainless bracelet, ended a few moments ago, selling for 151 Euros after 25 bids.

This Yema N8 Flygraf in average worn condition, fitted with a replacement shark grained leather strap, was listed earlier this evening by the French eBay seller 2015-mokra (who's recently sold a few Seiko 7A38's) as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of 1 Euro. The seller has misspelt 'Flygraph' [sic] in both his title and description and also evidently misread the case-back stampings. The correct Yema model number is N80Q16. It's suffering from a badly scratched crystal and a heavily scuffed case-back. The 'Mercedes' hour and minute hands are showing signs of 'lume rot'. I've seen a lot worse examples, but a lot better too (just scroll back up the page, for example).

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254254981391

The above quoted 7-day French eBay auction for a Yema N8 Flygraf, in average worn condition ended a few moments ago - in what can ony be described as the best Italian tradition. It theoretically sold for 156 Euros after 16 bids ....

But if you check the bidding history, you'll quickly conclude as I did, that it was obviously shilled by not one, but two Zero feedback bidders (one newly created), who needless to say, both have 100% activity with the seller. Which goes to show what a complete and utter load of tosh this line from the seller's description really is:

Profiles less than 5 reviews contact me directly before bidding otherwise the sale will be canceled.

I suspect the losing bidder (who bid 155 Euros), will be receiving a second chance offer anytime soon, probably before I've even finished composing this post.

This well-worn Yema Spationaute III 38mm 'reduced', model N80A696, fitted with a generic stainless bracelet, was listed yesterday evening, by a French eBay seller, as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of 100 Euros, or the extremely unlikely option of a Buy-it-Now price of 800 Euros for anybody foolish enough.

The winning bid of 151 Euros was a fair price. It was not in such good condition. There are better examples to be found. Be patient. ;)

Speaking of collections of Spationautes, have you seen this ? :|

This collection of Yema Spationautes, including a 43mm III, model # N80P76, fitted with a non-original bracelet and a white dialled 38mm 'reduced', model # N80A696, was listed in an 'Instant Collection Job Lot' earlier this afternoon, by a French eBay seller, as a 10-day auction listing, with an opening bid price of 1500 Euros.

Incidentally, this is the same French eBay seller navycaptain56 who was already separately listing another Yema Spationaute III (fitted with a non-original bracelet and missing a pusher - see previous page), now re-listed as item # 223552577638 and another different 38mm 'reduced', already posted higher up this page, re-listed as item # 223557244438.

I sell a quite rare serie of Yema Spationaute vintage watches.

All the watches works normally, and are in excellent conditions, with the exception of the very first model (photo n ° 5) whose glass is scratched, the others are often in a state quite close to new, most of their batteries are new.

All are delivered mounted either on their original steel bracelet, a steel strap with folding clasp or (the Golden Spa III) a new leather Fossil.

All come with a second strap, rubber or shark leather color matching the dial, or (the Golden Spa III) with a second two-tone steel one.

They are delivered in a very nice box for presentation of watches which contains only three places, four are however possible by removing the separation between each cushion.

It can sent worldwide for €27,1

Yes of course. ;)

I'm in touch with the seller.

He has a huge collection of YEMA, including half of dozen of white 38mm reduced Spationaute III. But he is not ready to let them go for a reasonable price. One of them is listed in eBay for 400€ and the chrono' does not even work properly!!

A dressy two-tone Jaz N8YZ669 with the attractive Panda dial was listed yesterday evening by a US eBay seller as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of $9.99. This example appears to be in average worn condition and has been fitted with a non-original Patek Philippe leather strap with deployant.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312665628752

You are bidding on a neat men's watch, as pictured. It is in very nice condition. Shipping in the USA is $5.85 and $28.85 out of the US. Thanks for looking and email me with questions, comments or for more photos...............

The above 7-day US eBay auction for a dressy two-tone 'Panda' Jaz N8YZ669 ended earlier this evening, selling for a mere $53 after 27 bids. The Patek Philippe 'mock croc' strap made no difference.

Is it really worth bothering to mention (yet again) ?  Early this morning, deluded would-be French eBay seller rosangui78 ended his latest re-listing for his grossly over-priced Yema Spationaute III, now fitted with a NATO strap, as allegedly being no longer available.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223526655000

Needless to say, it was back on eBay again this afternoon, re-listed yet again - the 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price reduced to 'only' 760 Euros.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223545207256

Just for the record ....

The following day after he'd re-listed it for the nth time, deluded would-be French eBay seller rosangui78 reduced his 'pie-in-the-sky Buy-it-Now price from 760 Euros down to 'only' 699 Euros. Presumably there were still no takers. Yesterday evening he ended that latest re-listing, once again as allegedly item no longer available.

It comes fitted with an olive green canvas strap, presumably intended to give it that 'Military' look.

With one thing and another, I'd neglected to run any searches for Yema N8's on LeBonCoin.fr recently. Not that I've found many on there lately. So I scrolled back through the first 4 pages to the beginning of the month and found these two which were listed by the same French seller on 5th July.

https://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/1641938430.htm

Yema flygraf

Description

Magnifique Yema flygraf, très très rare dans cette état...

Bracelet d'origine

Vendu avec boîte d'origine pile remise il y a 15 jours.

Pas d'offre dérisoire, modèle introuvable.

Faire offre.

https://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/1641929861.htm

Yema spationaute 3

Description

Faire proposition.

There's only one photo of each watch. Studying them, the leather strap fitted to the Flygraf is not the original Yema fitment (as claimed) and the dark blue inlays on the Spationaute III's bezel look suspiciously like they may have been re-painted (badly). There's no price stated on either, simply: 'No Derisory Offers' and 'Make Offer'.

I can't stand the "make offer" mention, it is just ridiculous. And usually the seller is out of his mind.

The seller above is an excellent example.

I've contacted him and made a "ridiculous offer" for both N8. He claimed that a professional watchmaker offered him 1,300€ for the Spationaute III only !!! :D

I tried to explain that it is probably a scam, but you know once they're convinced to own a rare jewel, they can't see how inconsistant is it. So he basically told me that I did not know what I was talking about. OK man, have fun with your scammer. :D

Anybody fancy a fugly frog watch ?

This Kamatz 517000 with the patriotic Tricoleur sub-dials was listed late yesterday evening, by a US eBay seller. It appears to be in very good little worn condition, still fitted with its original Poljot (albeit cardboard consistency) leather strap. Also, for a refreshing change, this example isn't suffering from the all-too-common butchered case-back that blights so many others. It's sensibly priced with a Buy-it-Now price of $125 (or the option to make an offer). Unfortunately there's potentially another $58.65 in GSP charges payable on top. :/

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233293957233

Vintage Gents KAMATZ Paris Quartz Chronograph Day/Date 15 Jewels Wrist Watch.

In great condition. Brown leather band. New battery and running. Lug size 20 mm.

Case is stainless steel. Case # 517000. Made in France.

3- push buttons. 1- lock down crown at 7 o'clock. rotating bezel.

Case size 45 x 45 mm.

I ACCEPT PAY PAL
